1) Morrales and Hatton cases are far different
2) He mentioned it because it's what he wanted or because that's what the promoters had in mind and he was only voicing it? Also, as I said, he can't be responsible if the promoters and both fighters want it. The only thing he can be responsible about is the fighter he trains.

yea willing to take on Morales is far worse, he's naturally smaller and IMO more shot that Hatton, don't be naive, Roach is the one that's pulling the strings, he puts his two cents in to who Pacquiao's opponent is going to be, hell the talks of a Foreman fight are the perfect example, Arum kept bringing up the fight, Roach said no, Arum in a later statement said that it wasn't a possibility anymore (and this was far before Cotto/Foreman), Roach is just as bad as King, Arum, and all the other dirty bastards who try to cash on a big name even if the guy shouldn't be in a ring anymore

Roach imo cares about his fighters, although he may not care about his fighter's potential opponents. Anyway it's a trainers no. 1 priority to look out for his fighter's health and career not the potential opponent. If the other guy like Hatton or Morales wants to step into the ring and fight Khan, then you can't blame Roach for taking that opportunity for his fighter.
