Probably because he's not a very good actor. That looked a 'take a dive' moment to me. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe that shot just threw off his equilibrium, but I can't help but be suspicious, it didn't look a terribly hard shot (I realise that last phrase makes me sound like Miles).
