Hard to say that really, Wladimir Klitschko hasn't really met a dangerous fighter like Corrie Sanders for some years now. It was Corrie Sander's speed and aggression that won him the fight, he literally stormed out in the 1st round and Wladimir Klitschko never had a chance.
I honestly don't think Wladimir Klitschko, could deal with a prime/dangerous Corrie Sanders. And he certainly wouldn't be able to just cruise to victory by using his jab either, his jab wouldn't be as effective against a Southpaw, especially a fast Southpaw like Corrie Sanders.
Remember even Vitali Klitschko had to take some hard shots, from Corrie Sanders before he won. Especially in the 1st round where he was quite badly stunned, Wladimir Klitschko wouldn't of been able to survive that onslaught.
Styles make fights and just because Wladimir Klitschko has improved, mostly due to the fact he fights more cautiously. Doesn't mean he would beat Corrie Sanders, i just can't see Wladimir Klitschko being able to hide behind his jab all night.
Considering Corrie Sanders is a Southpaw, is very quick handed. Plus he has a fair dig aswell.
Corrie Sanders is a tough fight for Wlad no doubt. His handspeed was sneaky and he had good pop.
I personally think that Wlad could deal with that now though.
Since then Wlad has learned to control the pace and distance better, his footwork has improved, he is alot harder to hit now and he learned that him fighting on the inside isn't a good idea which is why he ties up his opponents.
Wlad has proved he can deal with speedy guys like Byrd and Chambers as well.
I would see the current version of Wlad controlling the fight with his jab, he wouldn't come forward against Sanders like he did before either, When Sanders did open up Klitschko would use his superior footwork to get out of the way and reset with his jab. His right hand would be a key weapon as well. It wouldn't be easy though and Sanders would always have a punchers chance.
Comparing Vitali and Wlad is a bit pointless imo, they have two different styles.
Wlad is more cautious, has the superior boxing ability/footwork/defense,etc where Vitali is more offensive and is more durable but is easier to hit.
Gotta disagree with you here pal. I think the new version of Wlad takes Sanders out. Yes Vitali had to take some good shots to get Sanders out but his style lets him take shots anyway, Wlads new one does not.
Also I remember Sanders going the distance with blown up Johnny Nelson when Nelson was coming off a KO defeat to Norbert Ekassi and before Nelson was really any good. Not to mention the fact that he was KO'd by Hasim Rahman too not long before the Wlad fight, I know Rahman could punch and if he caught you, you were gone (just ask Lennox) but he was too good for Sanders. For me with the shots Sanders took, todays Wlad could look really good against him and get a mid round KO!
