He's truly a special fighter who may never be appreciated in his time.

Hi guys, I can't agree with you here for two simple reasons. This weekend's fight (March 20, 2010):

• At the beginning of the fight Wlad knocked Chambers' gloves down, but didn't return the opposite greet.
• At the end of the fight, Wlad swung at and punched Chambers while he was down and out.

Nothing really special about that, just another thug in the ring. I'd like to say that maybe he'll end up fighting long enough, so that this kind of thing will catch up to him, but for my first post here that would be messed up.

Anyway, Chambers' team (trainer) could've / should've thrown in the towel when Chambers got shook-up the first time in round 12. No need to have him suffer like that, I hope that someone will see it and actually replace that incompetent kind of leadership (as Chambers was awesome, against the unstoppable force, until he got totally worn-out I'm guessing).

Wlad bored me once again he just very rarely throws his right hand Chambers should of been out of there by the 6th.Even Manny Steward didnt seem happy with Wlad not wanting to punch.

I don't think this is fair. The guy Chambers' fought before Wlad was actually a little bigger than Wlad and quick and had good technical skills. Chagaev beat up Valuev. I don't think height alone is the reason Wlad is so good. Also using Corrie Sanders as an analogy to say what Wlad isn't good IMO is a little unfair. It's like saying Pep wasn't good because he couldn't get the better of Saddler. Or Marquez against Mayweather. I think stylewise, Sanders who is quick, southpaw, taller, and heavyhanded is the worst matchup for Wladimir. He would do a lot better against a orthodox fighter with those same traits, but a tall southpaw has too easy of a time landing on Wlad because his chin simply isn't good enough, and nobody can avoid a quick southpaw forever. I honestly think Wlad would have beaten almost everyone from the 90's and 70's when heavyweight boxing was in its "glory days"

Well not only what you said (which was summed up pretty well and agreed too many people use a fight from too long ago as basis to judge him)...But seriously Wlad was a whole different fighter then....That was 7 years ago...

It would be like people dismissing everything Lennox Lewis accomplished because of his loss to MCCall

Sorry don't know who you are or where you have posted in the past but guys around here don't make assumptions, hate/love fighters due to color....

Opinions of the people here are on what they believe of the fighters style, accomplishments, decisions etc...

And since your new I will catch you up to speed...Lennox is/has been ripped plenty on these boards

I kinda felt that Manny Steward was almost showing disgust thst Chambers was still there, that talking to he gave him before the 12th, man, Wlad should be ashamed of himself... Such a poor punch output and extremely low level of aggression for a giant physical monster of a heavyweight. I think the hook he caught Chambers with was about the third hook he'd thrown all night. Ha. Jab Jab Straight Right, Jab Jab, Jab, Jab Jab Jab, jab Straight Right, Jab Jab.... Jab...................Jab. He's surely the most monotonous boxer out there....

You saw an uppercut!? lol I sure didnt.

But on a different note, I hope Eddie's confidence is not too badly shaken by the loss, because I would like to see him stick around for boxing's sake. And IMO, Eddie did try last night. He just couldnt make it happen. It was simply too "big" of an uphill battle.
