This is an interesting point. I assume he speaks more confidently in his native tongue. He does seem like a very different person when interviewed by a Filipino person (his mannerisms since I don't understand the language). I've also learned from personal experience with other languages that a lot is lost in translation.

MMC did a better job translating the true meaning. But of course, when a person speaks in Filipino it is so different in context and substance when translated in English literally. This is why Manny has been dubbed a "humble" guy from which many Filipinos believe he is not because of the language barrier that we have and how we construct sentences.

In this case, I don't see Manny avoiding Floyd. I see him as I have always seen him. A man clouded by his arrogance and pride. Not because he is avoiding Floyd. Manny will not win the elections and he will continue boxing.

Why claim that someone "cherrypicked" his opponents throughout his career?
When in fact, we all know that it is their PROMOTERS and MANAGERS who had the final say about their fighter's options for match-ups,,more often, a fighter is just notified that he will fight this guy on a short notice...
