I'm not really trying to play the market with the house, but it was a great deal 1 because it was an REO and 2 because I paid cash I can fix everything on my own schedule, I didn't have to go through all the bank inspections. It's great I plan on going tomorrow, hookers would be awesome if you can make that happen CFH. Do the cocaine come in some sort of package deal with the hookers? like a manager special?
If you went just a little bit offshore you'd have a hit. I sshould have taken pictures of the people of city of Clearlake (the house is in lakeport, a much better town but right on Clearlake), it's the most good for nothiing place ever. There is a reason people don't seem to ever get developments off the ground, there are soooo many trailer parks t's unbelievable. The city of Lakeport barely has any nice neighborhoods, or normal neighborhoods, even upscale living there is just a really nice trailer. This house is in more of the downtown section so it's not like that. It has a cool little downtown too with a lot of shops that chicks like and a bunch of college-style shops, nice parks, statues ect. It's cool the area except the neighbors are all fat (like obese) slobs

hahahahaha
Apparently CFH is a minute-man and Nameless isn't![]()
Glad you seem to be feeling better by page three of this thread than you were on page one Amat.
Hopefully everything will go well for you now, the pain will subside and you will be left with a nice degree of financial security for the next decade or so.
The house looks nice but needs some furniture. I find pictures of empty houses creepy, kind of like the official police photo's after the murdered bodies had been desposed of and everything of importance taken away for forensics.
American houses have something of the Amytville about them and I'd sooner sleep in the street than in that house alone, but I'm sure it looks less scary in reality.

k well these days I'm way less stressed out then I was in the first post. I think it has something to do with getting laid, who knows but these days I would never even make this thread. But going back it was a pretty tough time I suppose and I think now that I am going to the house more and more, I am liking it more and more. I'm running out of money though. The tax people from the city just appraised it at 160K after the improvements even though I've only put about 12K into the house. All the furniture I got, the beds, the dining table, the entire living room, the washer/dryer all were for $1000 which is a CRAZY deal. The pictures look nice, in person it's beautiful. The dining room table has to be worth close if not more then that much alone. Stopped at a garage sale for the first time in my life and the guy moved everything out of his dead mother in-laws, offered $750 for it all minus the hutch and the cedar hope chest and the washer and dryer. About a month later he called me and said he couldn't find any takers and gave all that additional stuff for $250. So I made out like a bandit on that one.
I also bought a boat, a rebuilt 2000 Stingray with a 6 cylinder Volvo Penta engine on it that has 30 hours on it. I got it for $5000 and it's bluebook is over 8K. It was just chillin in my contractor's garage, his landlord owned it but hadn't taken it out for 2 years so he finally parted ways with it. He was such a hassle to deal with, my contractor had to wrangle him and plus the battery was dead so I didn't even get to hear the boat fire. I bought it kind of blindly but got it in writing that if there were problems I would bring it back. I got it inspected and there was nothing wrong, the inspector couldn't believe the price I got it for. I don't yet have pics of the boat but I looooooove it. It's bad. I also bought another car, a 2000 Subaru Outback. I'm selling that again though, I bought it cash in kind of a bind because I had to go to the house and I didn't really trust my Cadi to make it. It's got a shit ton of miles on it, almost 300K but it has run very nicely for me so far. I'm trying to buy a 1988-1995 (pre Mopar) Jeep Wrangler. Haven't found any really good deals though.
So here are some pics. Now I got talked into painting the house yellow by my neighbors/mom/contractor and I finally was convinced and asked my contractor (who wasn't really licensed and fucked me over eventually by not finishing my gutters and changing his number) to pick out a LIGHT shade of yellow. I was thinking very light yellow with white trim, something lowkey. If you look at the pictures, it obviously isn't the case. This WILL be repainted, while it has grown on me a little bit, I'm going to go with my original thought out light green with dark green trim. Oh and you can see the porch is white. He also didn't put a banister on the right side of my porch.
That's my messy backyard as you can see. I have big plans for the back yard but it requires a ton of effort. I think this picture was before I weedwacked though, it looks better now.
Some pics of the interior, I had more pics of my room (the cool room) but I guess I deleted them.
That's my wine room/the dining room. I'm proud of myself for that haha
