It was an obvious knockdown, the feet barely touched from what I saw. It was a punch that put Dirrell there.
Let's agree on a couple of things
1) Abraham had to be D1'd for his offense
2) Cole is an absolutely attrocious official - missed 1 kd for Dirrell and 2 for Abraham, Tells Arthur I saw it about the low blows yet doesnt do anything, the cut was clearly caused by a headbutt where's video replay when you need it?
3) Dirrell put on a performance which would make Sandra Bullock blush with the "I got knocked out shananigans" (but in a way his crazy acting hurts him because he acted as if Abraham had legitimately KO'd him)
4) Can we do something about the RING PAINT I'm not at all condoning what Abraham did (refer to point #1) but Dirrell seemed to slip everytime Arthur went on the offensive
Now up for debate
I think Abraham would've finished him if it wasnt for the KD he was moving into the corners (as he was when the DQ happened) and had next to nothing left
We need to get the replay because I don't recall seeing a headbutt occur.
but I dirgress:
Why do people keep bringing up irrelevent points like the knockdowns and whether or not Dirrell was acting?
The DQ was deserved, acting or no -and- the knockdowns dont have much sway on the end result of that fight.... that is unless there was a 3 knockdown rule in effect and I just missed that part.
@Sal the butcher
In my opinion the time where Dirrell slipped in the corner was a KD he was off balance and was hit by a shot whether it was the shot or his poor footwork that did the majority of the damage. Plus Direll seemed to be slipping everytime AA was on the offensice and as I said in the first point Abraham had to be Dq'd for his offence
If Dirrell didn't act as if it hurt him and just stood up, then there would've been no DQ. The ref let all the low blows slip, because they didn't really affect AA, so why not do the same with this, admittedly idiotic, punch.
edit:
Also, I can't stress enough that I am not really biased. In fact, I usually root _against_ the German fighters, because I have a lot of German friends and when one of their fighters wins, I never hear the end of itI thought Dirrell was ripped off in his last fight, so I kinda rooted for him a bit.

Ref could've given him a break, like he did when he attended AA's cut ...
If, like many people say, including me, Dirrell _did_ fake, then he wasn't really hurt, so there would've been no woozyness either.
edit: Anyways, Dirrell does deserve the win, he was the better fighter for 10 rounds, but I'm still upset over the outcome. I think AA will be a better boxer after this and if they'd have a second fight, he would knock Dirrell out.

Who knocked down who, and when is irrelevant.
Whether Dirrell was acting or not... also irrelevant.

Cole's been like that since I last saw him. He's got poor judgement. Either because he's biased or not, but he's been a terrible ref every time I see him act like one. not trying to hijack the thread but i was just disappointed by the ref during this fight.
Cole is horrible. Shockingly enough though some Abraham fans forget that he blew a Dirrell KD too.
its borderline embarrassing if you take out the word borderline.
