Gerald McClennan was hit the same kinda way and it wasnt when he was knocked down, but he had adelayed and grabbed his head in the same fashion when he had a delayed reaction to go down in the Nigel Benn fight.
In the Roy Jones vs Trinidad fight he hit him with a shot to the side of the head and Tito bounced around for a second before falling down. was Trinidad faking?
Dirrell got buzzed badly. And it's a good thing the fight was stopped.
Nothing you can come up with to try to diss Dirrell for what you think was acting doesn't take away from Abraham putting himself in that position.
You in one breath are saying he is acting and saying he thought he was KO'd so he must remember it. If he was KO'd and acknowledged it then he wouldn't be faking it would he?
Some of you people just refuse to accept that he wasn't faking because you've never seen a delayed reaction. There is a lot of info in this topic about head injuries, I suggest you read up on them.
Abraham acted like a bigger bitch then you could ever accuse Dirrell of being.
And the fact people are actually trying to find a reason to bash Dirrell for being potentially seriously injured shows how close minded some people are when they favor one fighter. It's a sad sight.
And if a story comes out that he was severely concussed then how stupid are you all gonna feel?
Is it gonna have to take another fighter to die in the ring before you're satisfied? Does another Leavander Johnson have to happen before you realize how serious people can be injured in the ring?
There is no faking the way his head spun from a shot he didn't see and trying to say he took the same amount of damage the whole fight is despicable.
There's nothing you can say that will make me believe otherwise. Dirrell shit out.
There might be a story to say he was severely concussed, but it would be false, because he wasn't.
When he took the punch, he looked back at Abraham as if to say WTF, then he squinted/grimaced, touched his nose, and then fell sideways. absolutely no way a fighter pauses a second after being hit, grimaces, touches his nose and then drops, when he's been actually ko'd.
I agree, Abraham shouldn't have hit him but from the post fight interview it was clear to me that Abraham seemed to believe that Dirrell might have actually had both feet planted on the floor. When asked about it in the interview he pointed out that he couldn't see, and i believe he was going to go on and say dirrell's feet were planted (the camera shot that Arthur was looking at didn't show Dirrell's feet). Unfortunately the idiot who was interviewing began speaking over him saying 'you couldn't see because there was blood in your eyes'.
Absolute joke. Even bigger joke how American TV went all along with it, and further dramatised it by having an interview with the Dr in Dirrell's changing room. Talking about his brain bleeding. From an arm punch that didn't land all that cleanly. Pathetic
