Exact same thing with froch, the concensous before the fights with pascal, taylor and dirrell were conclusively that he would get his arse handed too him.

Some of the american posters on here are desperately bitter about joe calzaghe, they fought they had the top boys for an entire generation and have now had to face the realisation that the true all time great was sitting at home in newbridge, wales watching the likes of jones/toney/hopkins on tv
I'm not sure about other American posters, but I can say that since I began following him I always thought Calzaghe was special. I favored him against Kessler and against Jones and against Hopkins. Froch is NO Calzaghe.

I thought JT, Pascal, and Taylor would beat Froch. That is true. However, styles make fights, and I just don't see how Abraham doesn't flatten him. For good measure, Calzaghe would destroy Froch.

No, but I think Froch may have the best chin in the tourney, so I don't know how people think Abraham will stop him, Taylor was stopped by Abraham yes, but Froch also stopped Taylor so who is to say that Abraham hits harder then him? He sparked Dirrell when he was on the canvas so I don't know how much that counts.

Anyway, I don't think Froch will beat Kessler since to beat Kessler you have to be a better outside fighter then him(like calzaghe and ward) Froch is not.

But against Abraham, if he lets Froch just get off on him if he gets caught he may be in trouble. Abraham was knocked down twice by Dirrell, and if Dirrell can drop Abraham and he isn't the hardest puncher in the tourney, Froch and Abraham may be the hardest punchers in this tournament, so we'll have to see. I don't think it will be a walkover by any stretch.
