On the Killersheep's thread, I did bet on Roy solely using my heart and not my mind, I am very surprise all these champions are thinking he'll get it as it's against all logic.

....perhaps they are hyping the fight

I personally see Hopkins stopping Roy in 3 just because B-Hop is going to want to carry Roy for a round or two IMO

But how could it end up being competitive or how could Roy end up winning? I think with the way B-Hop fights IF he shoots his wad early (and he very well could) it could be EXTREMELY competitive starting in the middle rounds with Roy coming on late as he gains confidence.

B-Hop usually starts slow and wins the late rounds...if I'm Roy I am on the bike early after landing 1 maybe 2 big punches. I try to enduce that big sweeping overhand right from B-Hop and counter it.

Roy can't let the fight "get ugly" and he can't play possum or let B-Hop stay in range. Roy either has to be outside or really close and if he's really close you can bet he will get fouled.

    3 rounds ? lol

I love Hopkins but when was the last time he stopped anyone ?

Roy is the worse for wear here, but he still has great hand speed, just not great legs anymore.

I know he's the underdog between the two, but I'm going to agree with the fighters here and pick Roy by decision.

I feel he can out box and out work Hopkins. He should make Bernard come to him.

Bernard loves it when guys come at him, Tito, Tarver, Pavlik, so Jones should play the counter puncher in this one and make B-Hop come forward.

Theres always hope when you were once the greatest boxer of all time and your facing a 45 year old man.

That is getting on for ten years he hasn't beat a world class ranked fighter for nearly 7 years, Hopkins will beat him comfortably.

If Roy was wearing concrete slippers what chance would you give him, that's the chance I give him tonight, he's looked really bad lately, his last real win was against Lacy who had faded to C- status already when he fought him. B-Hop has shown he still has the athleticism and the caginess. If Jones wins this the fix is in and ODLH himself bet the lot on Jones.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

I think Hopkins will win but I'm just not too sure how effective he'll be if Jones fights off the ropes and counters him like he did to Lacey

Sounds odd here but the only way I can see Jones jr winning is if Hopkins allows it....you know, gets him hurt and pisses around, trys to 'punish' him...gets arrogant ( a stretch I know ) and plays too cute looking for perfect set up.He hurts him,he needs to end it right then and there! He has blown chances in past,a hurt and Imo a there to be tko'd Taylor in first fight comes to mind.Roy needs the ropes now,get him ring center and turn him into head shots, legs will follow.

Physically Jones is far past it,never really had the boxing 101 fundamentals to fall back on after reflex, legs and speed deminished.....but he is cagey smart,a true proven professional and heavily doubted....very bad combination.

I think Glenn Johnson may be angling for a rematch of his own and the way he's been fighting I would favor him over Hopkins!

going back for a hall of famer the likes of Jones jr makes cents....going back for a Johnson although a hell of a nice guy and deserved of a biggie...is another thing altogether.

Hopkins may be long in the tooth but he is lightyears away from being Yusef Mack

It's true that Glenn 's tactics won't work on a seasoned vet like B-Hop who won't tire himself out or open himself up for big bombs, but the pressure Glenn piles on wouldn't be welcomed by B-Hop.

Glenn doesn't have many options left to fight neither does Hopkins, they'll both be on winning streaks and I think it would be a far more entertaining fight than this charade with RJJ

No one thought Green would do that.

But Jones got caught with a good punch and a quick stoppage too.

Sure as hell wasn't a clean KO. It was similiar to the Calzaghe vs. Manfredo stoppage, where Jones was covering up blockin everything but not throwing back.

Hopkins isn't going to fight Johnson. There is no money in it.

Jones is going to surprise a lot of people tonight.

He's not coming to lay down.

I don't think anyone ever thought Jones was coming to lay down...You can come to fight all you want but if the tools are not there they are not there....

If Jones does have the win hopefully he knows enough to run away with it and stay away
