That's the way it is, not the way it ends
David Haye should of finished him off by now, he's too relaxed just finish him already David Haye.
John Ruiz is a tough hombre except getting caught cold by David Tua, he's always had a soild chin IMO.
Indeed, to sustain all the high shots he took, he must have some iron balls somewhere somehow.

Full credit to Haye very good performance.
Wow extremely impressive performance by Haye. He moved and picked his shots nicely and looked great against a guy who is known for making fights rough and tough. His power looked great too as he could Hurt Ruiz with single shots. Very impressive.
Good fight. I just wish Haye could follow up when he has a guy hurt instead of going crazy and missing with a load of shots, he tires himself out doing that shit.
Good fight though.
He'll be fun to watch.Think he has big gaps in defense that will catch up to him but very sharp and dedicated shots, sells out for power...life for heavyweight division...needed!
9 rounds huh....I think on my fb account I posted that he'd TKO Ruiz in 8....I was mighty close and I called the Rodrigues-Arnaoutis fight spot on. Was anything said after the fight?
Total domination by David Haye. Good fight and good news for the HW division.
Let us dedicate this win to my homie LeftyLee and offer a wet nap so as to clean hisself and the general vicinity up.
IT"s time to accept that Haye is the man now at Heavyweight.
Haye beat Ruiz, who beat Holyfield, who beat Tyson, who beat Holmes, who beat Ali, who beat Foreman, Frazier, Lyle, Norton, Shavers, Patterson, Liston, etc.
David Haye is the man now, and he holds the belt that all of the great HW champs in the past have held, from Demsey, Louis, Marciano, Foreman, Liston, Ali, Tyson, Holyfield.
Accept it, Haye is the man! War Haye!![]()
I haven't seen the fight, but it sounds like Haye put up a decent showing. But let's not forget that this was a 38 year old Ruiz who isn't exactly coming in off of the hottest streak of form seen in recent years. Haye was really expected to win this and anyone in the top 6 would dominate an old Ruiz.
Hopefully this will lead to something more meaningful and hopefully within the next 12 months. I can see him taking a year off after this whopping great achievement.![]()
Guys dont be so bitter.
I'm sure others could have put on the performance Haye did tonight. But just chose not to. for the last, say, 10 yrs or so +. I mean, I was hoping to see him jab his way a snorefest, or maybe hold out his 9 ft long reach... to another snorefest, but...
but alas, we were treated to a fight.
Guys, guys. Guys!
