This forum is totally split on Haye. Some love him, some hate him. But you can't argue with the fact that he's come a long way in a very short heavyweight career.
A lot of his progress has been helped by his cocky attitude, which is where a lot of the hate for him comes from. But, I also think that people outside the UK don't really get Hayes sense of humour. He can be a mouthy bastard when he needs to be i.e. when he needs to raise his profile.
But he is also a genuinely nice guy from what I've seen of him over the years. He certainly didn't bad mouth Ruiz, which tells me that now he's got a seat at the top table, all the bullshit, bravado and publicity stunts will probably stop.
For all those Haye haters, just give the guy a chance, and try and look beyond the publicity machine.
