I'm using Nike Machomai's Donny and like them a lot. Nothing to break in, light and good support. Not overly expensive. Only prob I foresee is durability. They are starting to wear now after about 4 fights...but mind u i logged a hell of a lot of sparred rounds.

My last pr was Adidas and I got a ton of use out of them, middle of the road ones, mid height, similar to the current Box Hog...again not overly expensive and decent support. Will prob step up to the Adistars tho for next pr. Costly, but I hear a lot of good things.

Far as gloves go, no idea really. All mine are kinda middle of the road cheap and velcro plus we gotta use w/e they have at shows anyways...but wouldn't mind a nice lace up pr of cletos reyes.
