I know nothing about the laws there but the former pitcher Uegith Urbina got close to 20 years for attempted murder in Venezuela, so I'm sure an actual murder will carry a lot harsher of a sentence.

Then again the guy has the Prez tattooed on his chest, who knows.

but thats 14 years for two attempted murder charge, he tried to freakin pour gasoline and triedt o kill 5 guys,

fuck Valero, i already said he was a piece of shit with the other reports, this just proves it, hope he gets life in prison but he'll probably get off with a slap on the wrist due to his connections with Chavez, he shouldn't be allowed to make a living in the ring and i'll certainly never watch another one of his fights unless it's a replay of him getting brutally hurt

Sad news to hear reguardless of who is involved. This is why it cracks me up to hear people shit on guys for anything other than what they do in the ring. When you only read about these guys's lives through the shady media you really have no idea who these people are. Same thing could have happend to mosely if margarito had his way, these two should be sharing a damn cell

Oh get off it man, it was clearly just a dig at the south american justice system in leu of the Gatti case etc. I suppose you shed real tears when you read about this huh? Just ruined your day Just because we are fans of the sport of boxing doesn't make this any more of a tragedy than any other thousand murders taking place all over the world on a given day; of course it's a horrible, sad case, but sickos like Valero are out there. It was just a couple of weeks ago his wife was admitted to the hospital with a punctured lung from him beating her with his bare hands for christs sake.
