I think Adamek has to continue on at heavyweight, he's going to kill himself making cruiserweight again.

Here's a list of opponents for Tomaz to consider should he lose to Arreola (because there are really only 3 options if he beats Arreola and we all know those guys):

Eddie Chambers, he's small, has a good record and is a tough little guy.

John Ruiz, he's been beaten by every other "little man" RJJ, Toney, "The Brit" why not Adamek?

Sultan Ibragimov, he's a smaller heavyweight, a good fighter and they could have a decent go.

Brian Minto, he's small rugged and I think Minto and Adamek could have a hell of a scrap at heavyweight.

Alexander Dimitrenko, he's tall but tires out quick, doesn't have huge power, and has a weak chin to boot.

I actually think that even if he beats Arreola those would be good match ups....You know Adamek going to the HW division is actually better then haye because not that excitement factor Haye brings in with his pre fight antics but it might just encourage more CWTS to jump up....I mean the HW div over the last 7 or so years has had too many huge guys in there....These guys are more around the proper HW size of the 70's and 80's...even 90's..

we are missing many great matchups

I don't know why but i think a fight between Alexander Povetkin, would be a good one IMO.

If Adamek loses to Arreola then he should just fight for paychecks with no goal other than building a nest egg for his retirement.

Chris Arreola is not the cream of the crop. So, if you lose to him and still plan on being a heavyweight get used to adding L's to your professional record.

Adamek has still very little to say about who and when to fight with.
He moved to heavy primarily because no big name in cruiser (Hopkins, Ray Jones Jr, ...) wanted to fight with him and HBO/Showtime didn't show his fights.
HBO just asked him whether he wants to fight Arreola on a given day and he happily agreed like a no-name fighter given a chance of a lifetime. This is how it looks like.

Daxx you thought he looked sluggish in his last fight?
Can you elaborate some more on that see if I agree...

I thought he had a really good rate as far as output goes.
His workrate IMO is what makes him prevail in his fights.
He just throws and put's punches together.

You mentioned Adamek not being hard to hit, Arreola is no slickster either.
So I don't see Arreola having the advantage there.

Both guys have hit the canvas...

I think Adamek needs to invest in the body early, attack the body both rib cages then go upstairs. He needs to mix it up something tells me Vitaly dented that chin and Adamek will stop him. I really hope to find good seats cause I think this has the makings of a really good fight.

Lots of variables will dictate his next step, could look damaged in a close win or get blown out.As well as take the next step and make this his break out statement fight as heavy.

I just for the life of me cannot see this going 12.I dont think Arreolas doughy mug will hold up nor his stamina....equally I dont think Adamek can maintain his movement and disciplined boxing without getting tagged, stunned and sucked into a fire fight of exchanges.Either way I think this fight is a mutually brutal train wreck of a fight.Given the lack of depth and famished state of division...this battle between two quality heavys is a keeper.

Whatever size Adamek lacks compared to Chris is offset by his superior high level experience. He's made the transition and packed on weight fine and I dont think he'll go back to cruiser should he lose and will continue at heavy.I think Adamek makes Arreola lumpy and has him off balance early but Chris catches up and punch for punch he gets Adamek by midway tko.

I thought in the Estrada fight he looked stiff...Almost as if the extra bulk is uncomfortable for him...He has never been overly fast of has he ever been overly slick but he just looked like he was just not used to being as big as he is now...He was over 20lbs lighter just 2 fights and less then a year ago....

Though he does look solid..... I hope this is just something he is adjusting to and still getting comfortable....

No Arreola is no Slickster we all know that...My concern was will Adamek be able to avoid Arreolas big shots...He may not move well but he has one of the best KO% in the sport and I think only Vitali is higher at HW...

6' 7 1/2" 250lb Vitali klitschko sucking up Arreolas shots (what he did land) and dismissing them and 6'1" 220lb Adamek are two different things....Chris goes 6'4" and 250...Big size difference....

I am not saying Arreola is going to win...I am cheering for Adamek...I have been a fan since his 1st fight with Paul Briggs.....I just do not think Chris is going to be an easy fight at all....

Adamek is too small to be a heavyweight. When he loses it will be more about that than how bad or good Arreola is. You just can't be a dominant heavyweight these days and stand 6'1 1/2. Arreola needs work, but he only has lost once and that was to the best of the division. This is the best heavyweight match since well Arreola's last heavyweight fight where he beat another blown up cruiserweight. And if you get a chance, Mick, I would definitely hit this fight up. It should be a blast. You get to see Angulo too, right?

There are only two fighters at heavyweight who are the cream of the crop and then a HUGE drop to the next tier.
