I picked Kessler but I'm not overly confident. I think its fairly even but hometown advantage has to put the fight in Kesslers favour.

I don't think Kessler has any issue with Froch. I think Froch will bother him with a little pressure early and land his shots while taking them. This is the best style matchup Kessler will be presented with in the tournament.
Also when he lost to Calzaghe and Ward, it was those guy's adaptability that let them beat Kessler. Kessler was doing good against Calzaghe, winning the exchanges with harder, crisper punches. Calzaghe turned it around in time though by moving more and doing a lot of work with the jab. Ward simply didn't give the same look twice and kept Kessler off rhythm all night.ir Froch won't do any of that lol.
Boxing has so many ups and downs, Kessler is being underrated now by product of perhaps being a bit overrated, people calling him unproven ect. but he's still the division's greatest mainstay for the past 7 or 8 years he should not be written off so quickly.
Yup, I know hindsight has it's benefits but you have to be careful that you're not short sighted looking back.
Also, I think this tournament is good in a way for Kessler because he can't go be a recluse like he did after the Calzaghe loss. The activity will serve him well.
I think this fight depends on what Kessler has left, if that Ward loss has really battered his confidence then he could well lose to Froch. Stylistically Kessler should win, he's better technically and he won't struggle to hit Froch, but I think it depends on his mindset when he gets in the ring.
Wow big shift for Kessler, when I voted a few days back it was even.
I think Kessler takes this and will be back among the favourites. I think he stops Froch. Considering the lack of grace Froch has when he wins, I can't wait to see what he's like in defeat.
To me, this is put up or shut up for Kessler. He loses and he's never beat anyone but second tier fighters and lost everytime he stepped up. He wins and he saves some face. I'm looking forward to it because Froch will have to put together a good showing to beat Kessler. Froch's determination and awkwardness versus Kessler's boxing acumen and skill?
Kessler's never lost in Denmark. That may be the difference.
It should be a good scrap because neither of these guys runs. I'm looking forward to it.
