I'm not counting on Haye fighting Wlad in 2010, nor am I expecting Haye to fight in America.
Here's the thing when Haye backed out on Klitschko fight the first time, HBO had already invested in publicity for him they had a short spot on him and included him in a 10 minute "boxing's new rising stars" segment. HBO took that as a big eff you from Haye when he didn't go through with the fight and that's something they won't forget.
Now of course if Haye brings enough money to the table then I'm sure they will change their view, but for now he has zero pull in the USA. Sure he's with golden boy, but you don't here anything from GBP plugging him, not a peep.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

Haye needs rest after going against John Ruiz, couldn't Wlad have waited for Haye, you know the Haye fans will spin this into something like that when Wlad decides enough with the bullshit and fights someone else this year.

Richard Schaefer has been all over promoting Haye's last couple of fights in Britain along with appearances from Oscar. They don't shut up about the "star" he will be Stateside. Maybe they are just branching into Europe?
Personally I couldn't give a fuck whether or not he fights in America. Certainly the Wlad fight wont happen there. The winner of Adamek-Doorman would be a good one though

That I wouldn't doubt at all, the most asses in the seats happens in the UK and Germany, it totally makes sense to try and capitalize on that market. But this all comes back to my original point that the Klit can make plenty of money without Haye (although admittedly that would be the most money he would make), therefore as soon as Haye starts playing games book another fight don't let Haye get the lead in negotiations. Haye will still be there, the big payday will still be there and then it's on Haye to make it happen, Haye is not exactly flush with options either, Valuev II meaningless, winner of Adamek/Nipple, Solis. About the same options as Wladdy boy.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

If Haye is really in dire need of a long rest after pulling out of 2 fights in the last year and fighting a whopping 2 more, then he might as well try something new. This man is not a proper boxer. A real fighter digs in deep and fights a good 3-4 times a year until he is regarded as great. No way Haye is anywhere near that level yet. What a phoney.

An English teacher who has expectations about fighters in the sport he loves most, I might add. You don't see me cancelling lessons at the last minute because I'm not happy with certain students nor the money I myself originally negotiated.
I am a full time English teacher and a consummate pro in what I do. More than what can be said about part time Haye and his once a year approach to his own profession. There is no room for slacking in any profession, especially in one where your shelf life is so short.
I just think Haye should stay busy and push on for greatness. If he is serious about retiring at 31, where is the sense in taking any extended break in 2010 after beating the mighty John Ruiz? It makes no sense to me.

Some people are reading an awful lot into a few words from some reporter. As far as we know Haye and Junior are currently negotiating a fight. At the outset Team Haye were making sure publicly that they wouldn't accept less than a 50/50 split. It's unlikely that Team Junior will have agreed to this immediately, so seeing as how they're still at the stage of making offers and counteroffers and seeing how Junior is, as Fenster has pointed out, publicly chasing Haye, then Team Haye are just negotiating through the press here. I'm sure if Junior agreed to a 50/50 split tomorrow Haye would decide he's had enough rest thank you and let's get the fight on. It's all about the money, it's not whether one guy is scared of fighting another.
