BoxingScene.com was advised by Top Rank's VP of Operations, Carl Morretti, that a deal has been finalized to pit Vanes Martirosyan (27-0, 17KOs) against Joe Greene (22-0, 14KOs) in a very interesting clash of undefeated junior middleweights.

The fight will land in the co-feature slot to the upcoming Miguel Cotto-Yuri Foreman event on June 5 at New York's Yankee Stadium. Martirosyan-Greene will be the televised opener on HBO. Someone's "0" will have to go.

A perfect match-up for their points in their careers this is good news.

This is what we need more of.Green has seemed to slow,less visible lately.Remember he was talked about for a Martinez fight a while ago.Lean towards Martirosyan ,decent straight hitter and could keep it smart over distance.Needs to tighten up that uppercut though I think.Solid fight all around.

Greene's seemingly totally fallen off the radar lately but maybe that's not such a bad thing. Not a bad fight. Never been blown away by Greene but even less so with Vanes so I'll favor him here.
