Yes what the ref done was wrong telling Librado Andrade to go to the neutral corner. But so what ? that made no difference in the fight, because the time in the round was already over.

All Lucian Bute had to do was get up in time, which he clearly did. He responded to the ref and won legitmately, so why should he have lost ? i keep hearing this but why exactly ? because he was badly hurt ?

So what ? he got up and showed heart and won, he only got in that position because he made a mistake, by trading in the last round. It would of been a bigger robbery had Librado Andrade been given the win. With no time left in the fight.
I guarantee you he could not take 2 steps forward by the count of 8. Bute was out of it halfway thru the 12th round on.. Even he feels bad about the way he won. What do you think "kept him up at night for a year" according to Bute himself before the rematch.

I'm not sure who was more out of it, 'Meldrick Taylor vs Chavez' or Bute
By the IBF's rules he didn't have to. The fight ended the moment his gloves cleared the canvas. He could have literally stood up and fallen over again and technically he would have won because the fight ended when his gloves cleared the canvas as there was no time left in the round.
the argument isnt about did he make the final bell

its about the 45odd seconds before that when he was camped out on the deck and then grabbing the ropes for dear life to make it up at the eventual 8 that most of us could of counted to 38
