Froch fought fairly well in spurts and took his share of the early rounds, maybe some of the later ones too by some accounts. He gave a decent enough account of himself, but didn't quite fight with the intensity needed to grind Kessler down. Maybe he was carrying an injury, but if so the fight really should have been postponed. Froch can't use that as an excuse because the chance to get fit was there.

The fight was in no way a walk over by Kessler...It was a damn tough fight and I give Carl credit...Bar the excuses because how many fighters have BS ones after they lose?...My Dog died...My feet hurt...My herpes has been flaring up....You name it they will say it....But I will say I gave the fight to Kessler by 2rds but the scoring by the one judge was crazy!!!
