No fighter in history would of destroyed Floyd Mayweather Jr, is there fighters that could have beaten him ? yes of course but never destroy or dominate.

...imagine in that second round that Floyd was fighting Tommy Hearns or Tito Trinidad.....DESTROYED! I stand by it. Sugar Ray Robinson would have massacred Floyd that's just an outright FACT and Ray Leonard, Roberto Duran, Alexis Arguello in their primes would be EXTREMELY difficult for Floyd to beat.

And that being said Floyd has fought faded (still very good but faded admit it) versions of Shane Mosley (taking nothing away from this fight, Floyd amazed me with his speed and ability to survive and then come back and fight) and Oscar De la Hoya and Shane hurt him badly and Oscar did very well and without his normal trainer in his corner and Ricky Hatton & Marquez outside their true weight classes when they had shown nothing great in those higher weight classes.

Yes Floyd is great but just like people criticize Marciano for fighting old guys what about Floyd? Yes Floyd is great, yes he's THE dominant fighter of his era (he may share that with Manny until they fight) and he'll go down in history as one of the greatest but I put an astrisk next to his name because if he was really out to proove he was the best he'd schedule fights like Miguel Cotto does and just fight the toughest guys out there instead of hand picking guys.

Depends on who catches you and how they catch you.

Sometimes people get rocked by thudding power, sometimes it takes sharper faster punches to rock other fighters.

(as for Wlad since YOU brought him up) vs Sanders he #1 Took away his own height and reach advantage and #2 Sanders was a power punching southpaw how many of those is a heavyweight ever going to see? vs Brewster and Purrity Wlad gased out, that's different than getting hit flush and KO'd.

I could have called someone an idiot in this thread for thinking that FLoyd manhandles Marvin Hagler in 15 rounds at 160. But I didn't. Or that he could manhandle Duran at 135 and 147 easily.
