I've never been a fan of Merchant the commentator. But I gotta admit, I'd rather see him behind the mike asking questions after a fight, than Kellerman. Last night was a good example. Especially when Mosley said he was a little tight after his great 2nd round, and Merchant countered something to the effect of: C'mon Shane, you've been a pro for a long time... whadda you mean you were tight? He made Mosley explain himself. And when exhausted all the possible questions to Mayweather about the fight, he went on to the topic of Pacquaio. In short, I find myself saying to myself when Merchant is interviewing: Hey! I would've asked that same question. Which is the mark of a good interviewer. Kellerman, on the other hand, seems bent mostly on being the spectacle, rather than the interviewer. I hope he develops a better style, 'cause Merchant will retire sooner or later, and we'll be left with Kellerman.
