Default pacman has agreed to 14 day cut off

    HI,

i just heard the pacman on his official website has agreed to 14 day cut off for fight with mayweather..just as long as his opponent has the same test and not too much blood is taken.

why cant he take it all the way up the fight...will mayweather conform to this? does he have too?

    pacman will get destroyed.

14 days sounds reasonable to me. mayweather is an a$$ and won't conform unless it is HIS way. hes that type of fighter. always wants it his way or no way. I suppose thats good for him, cause I still think pac will beat him up.

no offense but mosly would have beaten pacman.
Mayweather should insist on drug test up to the fight date as there are drugs that can leave the system in the 14 day period as i AM SURE THATS WHAT PACMANS DEALER TELLS HIM.

Whether you are a pacman fan of not, whether your a boxing fan or not.how can any human being truly believe this is not a good thing that pbf is doing.!

Look at marion jones, ben johnson, dwain chambers all this cheats!

why is everyone opposed to this? you must hate mayweather more than you want this sport cleaned up.

@ IMP...Your sure that's what his dealer has been telling him? LOL...Can you please find me some evidence that PROVES a. that Pac-man is on PED's and b. that his dealer has been telling him that the PED's leave his system in 14 days.

To me, it just seems like your talking complete bollocks!!

It's not whether the drugs leave his system in 14 days anyways... it weather taking drugs 14 days before the fight will improve his performance...

Currently at his demanded 24 day cut off before the fight, there is reason to believe that IF he is on something or does take PED's (hate that word.. reminded me of "pedophile"... but it's quicker to type), that if he takes his final test 24 days before the fight, then he can get back on the stuff and be at his peak performance for the fight.. or at least enhanced...

If that last test date was cut back to 14 days, then obviously IF he was taking something, it may have a lesser effect.. But no one know IF or WHAT he may take, or how long it takes to have effects, so these dates are irrelevant...

He's just playing with symantics now... He must either submit to the olympic standard testing or not... It's not "Floyd's special made up schedule of drug testing",,, it's Olympic standard drug testing that Floyd is demanding...... It makes no difference how Pac wants to play around with cut-off dates.... Floyd is only going to take the fight if Pac agree's to the Olympic standard...

Of course it's good for boxing.. And Pac should just do the fucking things.... But what is BETTTTTTTTTTER for boxing, is GIANT F'N FIGHTS LIKE THIS.... And Floyd will be happy to see this one go by because he's demanding something that no boxer or boxing commission has demanded almost in the history of boxing.... That is Pac's point..... You can see it one way, you can see it the other...

At this point, Pac just needs to agree otherwise we won't see this fight... Simple.. And hopefully he pounds Mayweathers ass into dust for all this nonsense..

Can I get an Amen ?!

If I was Pac i could think of 30 million reasons why I would do these tests the way Floyd wants, but the 2 reasons that would mean the most to me personally is that BOXING would benefit from having this fight take place, and secondly it would clear my name to the many people who now think I have cheated my way to the top of the p4p list. Yes I may get beaten up badly in facing Floyd but at least I gave the FANS what they wanted to see.

good thread dizaster, but this nonsense IS a good thing and should be in ALL sports.

I cant see Bob arum letting this fight slip through his fingers as its too much money to not put on his pension, freddie roach will try to force the fact that pbf was hurt in the 2nd round and pacman would have the stamina to finish pbf off so I can see the pressure building for pac and this fight taking place on the 1st of Ocober. 42-0-0

random drug/blood testing with 14 day cut-off plus blood and urine testing right after the fight. this sounds good already.

@ IMP... I wouldn't turn down £10 for a drug test but then I'm not a multi-millionaire sporting icon but you still didn't answer my question dude. I asked if you could prove that Pac-man is on PED's and that his dealer says that PED's leave your system in 14 days? So I'm a little confused at why your so "sure" given lack of any evidence.

I agree with you about the need for better testing in boxing. I can only see pluses from it but surely it needs to implemented by the governing bodies. Not just a boxer making demands. Pac-man has never ever come up positive on a urine test and he was willing to take a blood test 30 days before the fight and straight after the fight. He has his reasons as to why he won't take them running up to the fight. I've never met the bloke so I can't tell you what they are. If you want to speculate about what they are that's fine but I believe that everyone is innocent until proven guilty. I guess you've already decided Pac is guilty based on....... what exactly?

Chris, pac might be guilty, he might be not.

At the end of the day pbf agreed to his demands about the weight issue (any pounds over 147 in weigh in pbf gets fined 10million) pac did not agree to his terms.

We all know that this would be good fight and it needs to happen for boxing but for crying out loud pbf IS the face of boxing..even when he was retired from boxing the sport cried out of him.

Pac man in my opinion is a great little fighter with speed and lots of stamina but I do believe he is on a timothey bradley level which is very promising..but there is no way on earth that he beats mayweather..(please remember those words and put it on an email to me after they fight with a thorough apology).

Pac owes it to his fans to take this test and whoop pbf ass (if he can) and say 'im legit and the best in the world'.

Put it this way, if the tables were turned and mayweather would not take the test just think what the media/boxing world would make of him.

pacquaio gets destroyed by mayweather? your logic being

    • Pacquiao`s a 7weight world champion, mayweather is a 5weight champ
    • Pacquiao has 50 wins under his belt, floyd 41
    • Pacquiao beat marquez in his own weight class, floyd had to do it at 147
    • Pacquiao smashed ODLH inside 8, mayweather drew with him
    • Pacquiao annihilated hatton, mayweather had to rely on the ref to cheat to win the fight
    • Pacquiao took the cotto fight and beat the hell out of him, floyd ducked cotto for years
Again im fascinated to here how exactly pac gets destroyed by mayweather

Chris you're a good poster and I respect your opinion but I disagree with you on this. Advanced drug testing goes beyond governing bodies. The USADA testing costs 20 thousand dollars for testing these 2 fighters, that's just not practical for the government controlled commissions. It's just like testing is notoriously less rigorous at qualifying events and other tournaments then it is at the actual Olympics. Bigger events should be treated differently. As an athlete especially today, the onus is on you to prove yourself to be clean. If a fighter is willing to foot the bill and agrees to the same tests and penalties, it shouldn't be out of bounds for a fighter. If you believe that Floyd shouldn't be allowed to demand testing and that should be left to the commission then the same should ring true for the penalties of missing weight, which is usually decided by the commission but Pacquiao was able to get Mayweather to agree to a ridiculous $10 mil per pound penalty.

I think the best way for Pacquiao to eliminate any doubts is simply to take the tests if he really wants the fight. I'm sure he does, it's just shady how he balks at this. I would hope he isn't on anything but when you don't agree to random testing (even at the 24 day cutoff mark I don't believe he ever agreed to random blood testing, rather a series of 3 scheduled tests) then it just gives off the wrong impression.
