THIS. Pacquiao destroyed DLH & Hatton because 1. they couldn't deal with his speed and 2. they couldn't match it.. Mayweather however can do both of those, and what's more he'll be FAR harder to hit than DLH and Hatton were. Pac mans aggression worked for him in his recent fights but the more aggressive he is against Floyd the more openings he will leave, and Floyd WILL exploit them.

Since that's never happened to Floyd I'm less inclined to see that happening. And being that I have seen Pacquiao torn up by a counter punchign Marquez and being a sucker for a straight right whenever Clottey threw it I'd say you have a better chance of seeing Mayweather pot shotting Pacquiao a lot while being in front of him. Pacquiao will get hit a lot more then Mosley was hit.

I've been thinking about this a little and i'm not so sure he is taking anything. The main reason we think he is, is because of his power at 140-147, but that can be explained simply. You could argue that...

His power has looked so spectacular because he's caught certain fighters as they're in mid swing aswell, so it enhances the impact of the punch tenfold. Even against a severely weight-drained De La Hoya, Pac didn't really hurt him. He beat him up for 8 or so rounds, but it was an accumulation of punches that did the job, rather than one punch.

I remember Mayweather not really having the power to trouble Oscar at Light-middle yet, in the 5th round (I think), Mayweather lay on the ropes and countered as Oscar was throwing. He buckled Oscars' legs without even really properly setting himself. It was the action of De La Hoya that increased the power of the punch.

When Pacquiao has hurt and floored Cotto and Hatton, they've both been throwing punches at the time. Same with David Diaz at lightweight. When Pacquiao lands on guys who aren't throwing punches, his power diminishes, like it did vs Clottey (who does have a solid chin).

Furthermore, people go on about his jumps in weight classes, but they forget to mention that he turned pro at 16. Mayweather wasn't much heavier than Pac at 16. Infact he was practically the same weight.

I've studies Sports Nutrition, so i can see (i'm not saying you can't btw) how possible it is for Pacquiao to put on the weight and maintain his power. Jumping from around 110 to 140 over a period of 15 years isn't enough to make me overly suspicious, especially when that person is surrounded by a quality nutrition team, which wasn't really in place before Pacquiao moved to Roach's team. The gains he's made in size are extremely possible.

I'm not saying he isn't juicing, because only he and his camp know, but i'm adding balance to the argument that seems to just consist of 'he's juicing'. I just think he doesn't want to adhere to Mayweather's terms. Boxing is as much as a mental game and he probably feels that this is as big as an issue as the venue, ring size, type of gloves etc...

I don't think he wants to concede any ground, and he's willing to adhere to the Nevada state commissions drug testing policy, so i don't think it's that suspicious.

All the is irrelevant anyway. Mayweather would toy with him in the ring. It wouldn't even be that close. Pacquiao's output would be stifled and Mayweather is too hard a hitter (for pac) and too accurate.

@ IMP...I don't agree with you that Pac is on a level to Timothy Bradley but each to their own. Like you, I think Mayweather beats Pac so I'm not sure what you would want an apology from me over? Boxing fans are famous for picking apart boxers resumes (we are all guilty of it) and we could sit here all day doing it. I just think we need to give credit where credit is due. Most people thought Pac-man would lose to De La Hoya as he was the bigger man. A lot of people thought Hatton would be too big for him at LWW. Cotto would surely be too big for him but again Pac beats him and then people said Clottey who can weigh 160lbs + on fight night would be too big for him. Once he beats all these people and convincingly people then look for excuses as to why he didn't lose. We do it for every boxer out their. People thought Shane would really test Mayweather and when that doesn't happen we need to find an excuse as to why. Maybe Mayweather was just too good for him! We can look back and say De La Hoya was weight drained against Pac, or Shane was over the hill against Floyd but don't take anything away from either's performance, especially when going into the fight so called boxing experts where calling them the underdog or in Floyd's case, his biggest test yet.

@ amat...I agree. I think any drug testing involved would have to be for the bigger events only as like your have said it just wouldn't be affordable to do it for every fight at every level. I also agree that as an athlete it's up to you to prove yourself clean but hasn't Manny done that. He's never failed a test! Now this could mean that Manny is clean, like the tests prove or he's taking PED's that don't show up in a urine test. I don't have any knowledge of PED's so I don't know what you can take, the amounts you can take, the timescales you take them in without getting caught...etc. I do know that Manny said he would take 3 tests 30 days before the fight and then a test straight after the fight as well as having urine tests. That to me doesn't sound like a guilty man but like I've said my knowledge of PED's is zero so maybe somebody with more knowledge can prove me wrong. I actually think Pac should just take the tests too, but that's only because I'm desperate to see this fight!
