another thing i disagree with is roach saying mayweather doesnt hit hard at the weight, i think he proved he hits plenty hard enough when he fought mosley, he buzzed him on numerous occasions i thought

To be fair mate you had it perfectly spot on with your original assessment. Roach is blowing hot air here, if he actually believes that floyd is on the decline after that performance he`d have himself commited in a mental home.

Hornfinger - pac will go toe to toe for 12solid rounds, he has done it with out and out warriors and mayweather aint a fighter. Floyds best chance against manny would be a performance not too dissimilar to saturday night. Take your opponent out of the game by making him come find you and fight him at your pace before eventually going through the gears and towards the end of rounds becoming the aggressor through sheer speed

I stand by what I've said.

I also stand by my opinion that I doubt the fight will happen.

This was done purely to provoke a response. That's it. I think when it comes to head games like this, Roach is ten steps ahead of most trainers. I'm not saying that means Manny beats Floyd hands down, but Roach is alright with the head games. I thought he got into Cotto's trainers head pretty good. As for Shane getting old overnight, I'm not going to say that. I'm not going to take away from Floyds performance even if I do hate the guy. He got his bell rung and he made adjustments. I don't think Shane has slowed all that much. He just realized that while he's fast, Floyd is much much faster. And another thing, has anyone ever seen another fighter throw a nasty cross off the back foot like Floyd? I saw alot of moving the head back to avoid a punch, then flashing with that cross. Nailed mosely more than a couple of times with that.

Floyd looked with a potential vulnerability for all the time Moseley had gas. Does it mean Pacman will automatically beat him? No. Just that the possibility it could happen is there and it has to be seriously considered. Roach is to me the best coach actually and I think that he's just trying to spread doubt into Mayweather's head. I just see that as a war of words and trying to play in the other's head seance. Floyd just showed he can get hit flush by strong blows by fast fighters, I don't think he lost his legs, especially as he never received a proper beating during his career.

    I don't agree with Roach.

Mayweather showed good movement against Marquez.

Against Mosley, he opted to put the pressure on and it worked. If he wanted to box Mosley, he would of done it.

Pugilistic, I think your first signature shows Roach that Floyds legs aren't gone.

Lol...at roach, if he beat mosley that bad without them he'd better pray floyd looses his arms too. All this crap is just plain silly. Don't move he's lost his legs. Move to much he's running. How bout you not worry bout floyd and get your guy to take the freakin test, or has pac lost his blood all of the sudden ? I wouldn't bash the guy, cause if he beats pac that just makes pac look that much worse for not beating an old floyd with no legs. If mosely won he'd be the greatest thing since ali right now, but he looses and off to the shelf of guys he's beaten with excuses beside his name. Pac is great, floyd is great so just let them fight ! Whatever weakness roach belives floyd has i doubt he'd been dumb enough to tell the media. Till pac takes the test it's all blah blah blah blah blah....same with the crap floyd spews out of his mouth.

    Mayweather still has legs.

I'm giving up on predicting, I don't think anyone can say with real conviction who will win, anyone with an ounce of sense realises they both have qualities and it is a facinating fight. Should it happen.

    Who is faster?
    Who punches harder?
    Who has the best chin?
    Will Pac catch Floyd?
    Will Floyd avoid Pac?

Be honest with yourself, you might think you know, but in truth, you won't know.

Do people need to be constantly reminded of Pac's performances against Marquez?! Marquez is the best fighter Pac has faced...period. Some may argue that Pac wasn't as "complete" a fighter in their first fight...fine. But he clearly was by their second fight...and Marquez showed that a skilled counter puncher will give Pac fits. Well...Floyd is faster and just plain overall more skilled than Marquez. Has anyone seen Pac have a Plan B in any of his fights? He fights one way...overwhelming his opponents with his pressure and stamina. But if you cannot adapt against someone like Floyd...you will get picked off all night. Lets not forget that Floyd thrives in the gym. The guy has incredible stamina. He isn't Oscar, Cotto, or Hatton. If he needs to dance all night...he will dance. If he needs to counter...he will counter. If he needs to be more offensive...he will be (as he showed against Mosley). And he can do all 3 things in the same fight. He has a plan A, B, and C. Pac will be a tremendous challenge for Floyd...simply because Floyd has never faced a GREAT PRIME fighter with so much momentum. But Pac has never faced a fighter has smart, fast, and skilled as Floyd.

This is exactly what I have been thinking; how will Pacquiao be able to cut off the ring when Flody will be circling the ring slightly backing off and landing counter jabs and straights?

Roach is clutching at straws, Floyd was a lot better than he thought. Pac is in some trouble.
