    I don't agree with Roach.

Mayweather showed good movement against Marquez.

Against Mosley, he opted to put the pressure on and it worked. If he wanted to box Mosley, he would of done it.

Anybody thats seen mosleys wars with vargas, wright, de la hoya etc etc will tell you that shane even in defeat has been able to stand toe to toe with his opponent and after taking a shot throw one right back at him. It just was not there on the night and mosley fought mayweather in straight lines.

Mayweather is indeed the smartest fighter in the game today and quite possibly of all time. He knows how to take his opponents strong points out of the equasion and neutralise his attacks through slick punching and not allowing himself to get drawn into a fight. Floyd has the gift of amazingly quick hands and while his footwork may not quite be that of floyd at featherweight he more than makes up for that with far superior power.

I cant look past pacquiao if they were to ever meet on his last 4performances he almost seems as if he is a class above every other fighter in the world right now. Mayweather wouldnt be able to take pac off the front foot because mannys speed and agility has him out of there before the opponent knows anyway. Floyd getting caught with good solid clean punches exchange after exchange would be fascinating because he would have to find a way to neutralise pacs blinding speed
good post mate and that is the reason i want to see this one... manny's pressure over Floyd's slick boxing style... i know where my money will be going after watching rd 2 last weekend
All due respect buddy, you're seriously comparing Pac's punch power to Mosley's at welterweight??

Pac ain't gonna get it done with power against Floyd - If it happens it will be through a volume of his hardest shots/Floyd not seeing the punches and Floyd rarely doesn't see punches.

Pugilistic, I think your first signature shows Roach that Floyds legs aren't gone.

Lol...at roach, if he beat mosley that bad without them he'd better pray floyd looses his arms too. All this crap is just plain silly. Don't move he's lost his legs. Move to much he's running. How bout you not worry bout floyd and get your guy to take the freakin test, or has pac lost his blood all of the sudden ? I wouldn't bash the guy, cause if he beats pac that just makes pac look that much worse for not beating an old floyd with no legs. If mosely won he'd be the greatest thing since ali right now, but he looses and off to the shelf of guys he's beaten with excuses beside his name. Pac is great, floyd is great so just let them fight ! Whatever weakness roach belives floyd has i doubt he'd been dumb enough to tell the media. Till pac takes the test it's all blah blah blah blah blah....same with the crap floyd spews out of his mouth.

    Mayweather still has legs.

I'm giving up on predicting, I don't think anyone can say with real conviction who will win, anyone with an ounce of sense realises they both have qualities and it is a facinating fight. Should it happen.

    Who is faster?
    Who punches harder?
    Who has the best chin?
    Will Pac catch Floyd?
    Will Floyd avoid Pac?

Be honest with yourself, you might think you know, but in truth, you won't know.

Do people need to be constantly reminded of Pac's performances against Marquez?! Marquez is the best fighter Pac has faced...period. Some may argue that Pac wasn't as "complete" a fighter in their first fight...fine. But he clearly was by their second fight...and Marquez showed that a skilled counter puncher will give Pac fits. Well...Floyd is faster and just plain overall more skilled than Marquez. Has anyone seen Pac have a Plan B in any of his fights? He fights one way...overwhelming his opponents with his pressure and stamina. But if you cannot adapt against someone like Floyd...you will get picked off all night. Lets not forget that Floyd thrives in the gym. The guy has incredible stamina. He isn't Oscar, Cotto, or Hatton. If he needs to dance all night...he will dance. If he needs to counter...he will counter. If he needs to be more offensive...he will be (as he showed against Mosley). And he can do all 3 things in the same fight. He has a plan A, B, and C. Pac will be a tremendous challenge for Floyd...simply because Floyd has never faced a GREAT PRIME fighter with so much momentum. But Pac has never faced a fighter has smart, fast, and skilled as Floyd.

Roach is clutching at straws, Floyd was a lot better than he thought. Pac is in some trouble.

To be fair mate you had it perfectly spot on with your original assessment. Roach is blowing hot air here, if he actually believes that floyd is on the decline after that performance he`d have himself commited in a mental home.

Hornfinger - pac will go toe to toe for 12solid rounds, he has done it with out and out warriors and mayweather aint a fighter. Floyds best chance against manny would be a performance not too dissimilar to saturday night. Take your opponent out of the game by making him come find you and fight him at your pace before eventually going through the gears and towards the end of rounds becoming the aggressor through sheer speed
He completely disproved that in Round 2 on Saturday when he took Mosley's best shots (this is Shane who has flat KO'd 80% of his opp) and came forward fighting. Not even talking the rest of the fight, he was doing it in that round. Not to mention his fights with Carlos Hernandez, Jesus Chavez and Castillo.

His chin may have got overrated a bit in light of Saturday, but his heart shouldn't be underestimated, he's never shown a bit of quit in him. I'll catch heat for saying this, but for all warrior ways, I think Pac has shown a limit in the first fight with Morales and the second with Marquez, where he actually didn't want to go back out, Roach made him.

I think Mayweather will stop him in the 9th or 10th. As good as Pac is, he made some mistakes against Clottey that would have been punished by a better fighter. Not counting him out by any means, Pac is always quick out of the blocks and Mayweather is a slow starter, so it's possible he stops him early. One facet of Pac's game that has been overestimated in the last few days is his finishing ability, I'd definitely stress that imo, Shane is the better finisher of the two.
The first shot he took very well...but the temple shot would have put most people down especially considering he didn't even see it..Think that may be an overstatement. Floyd's chin is still very much unquestionable...

Roach is just talking out of his ass here. Mayweather didn't use his movement because he didn't want to give Mosley the chance to get the ball rolling with his feet. He wanted to make Mosley fight flatfooted on the outside3 which he knew Mosley wasn't very good at. I don't even think Floyd was that aggressive, I just think he was standing his ground rather then potshotting. He seemed to be carrying his weight on his front foot which was a bit odd I'm not sure I've seen it from Floyd before.

Roach is just goading. I will say this though, that right hand Mosley hit Floyd with wasn't just a right hand. He blinded him or at least distracted him with a jab to the body and then was able to wing a right hand over that. That's very similar to what we have seen Pac do time and time again. That was kind of interesting.

Roach is very annoying though. To bad Nazim couldn't train Pac.

This is exactly what I have been thinking; how will Pacquiao be able to cut off the ring when Flody will be circling the ring slightly backing off and landing counter jabs and straights?

And don't forget Roach is on video record saying they wouldn't fight Mosley unless it was at 142, admitting that he's too good at welter.

So Freddie, the guy that was too good for your so called p4p number 1 to fight gets schooled by Floyd and this prompts you to claim Floyds legs have gone? lol...I think in a round about way he just called Manny Pacquiao a big piece of shit

I saw your post on that and I agreed, I don't know if that's really made Mosley completely hesitant but it was about the only time Mayweather snapped off a combo inside of Mosley's punches and it was cool to see.
