I'm sure these will be the excuses.
No one has ever had to make excuses for Floyd yet.

if he gets beat, he gets beat. No excuses needed.

it's the others who always need excuses against Floyd.

But if Mayweather and Pac get in the ring together within the next year, neither of them should look for any excuses. One of them will lose, because the other will win. Pure and simple.

Of course, if Manny loses to Floyd, Miles will surely be looking for some kind of excuse. But most of the boxing world will simply recognize that Floyd's a better boxer.

i don't know who will win that fight; I haven't seen Manny in the ring nearly as much as i've seen Floyd, so I don't have a feel for him. I hope he brings Floyd his greatest challenge yet, because if he does, we'll see an incredible fight. we don't know how good Floyd can be. The better his opponent, the closer we come to finding that out.

If Manny brings out the very best in Floyd and still beats him ... well, then, that will be amazing and should qualify for one of the fights of the decade, if not the fight.

That's the kind of fight I want to see Floyd lose - where he was pressed to fight his best - which will be dazzling - and still unable to produce a victory.

Ring rust? Floyd? Is that why he did such a mediocre job against Mosely?

I don't think there will be room for any excuses in this one. Both fighters are in their early 30's and looking strong in all of their recent fights. I will most likely just accept that the better man won.

If you are looking at the Mayweather/Mosley fight and think I am only making excuses, I expressed the same concerns before the fight as I did after. Mosley was old and extremely inactive. Those are the facts. Mayweather fans might not want to hear that as they bask in their glory, but I will always tell it how I see it.

Manny/Floyd is a pick 'em for me, but I prefer the style of Manny so will be cheering him on (if he takes the blood tests). But seeing as I am not a known supporter of either fighter I will be able to sit back somewhat and just enjoy the fight for what it is.
