Kermit Cintron would of won, he was having his best round. And was atleast 3-0 up 2-1 at the worst.

Hey Paul Williams , you know what Im saying, know what I'm saying good fight, know what I'm saying I dont' know what happened to Cintron, know what I'm sayin?
if roger federer can't continue, the match goes to his opponant. why should boxing be different? Unless the opponant casued the injury with a foul, we shouldn't go to the scorecards.
reminds me of chavez-randall II a bit.

In some ways I agree with that, I mean in other sports, injury would just eliminate you with a defeat.
That said however boxing is not like other sports. Federer will play 50 + matches in a single season, Cintron likely won't have 50 fights in his entire career.
A loss in boxing is so much more significant than in any other sport and therefore I think a no contest is the right result.
I wonder if it will be overturned on appeal? Probably not if that is the rules, but I hope they at least order a rematch. Cintron was looking good in there I thought. Like most others on here, I think he was never going to get the close rounds because of the bad taste the Martinez result left in the mouths of many.
