There are far too many great posts for me to ever consider recalling. This board is probably host to a fair chunk of them, it can be a very funny place.

When I was writing this last night I was just thinking how ridiculous the setup of the ring was to have the ropes so floppy and unresistant... only reason I can think they've set it up this way is to try and keep the action in the middle of the ring by making it hard to lean on the ropes and cover up. Thinking back, in the early rounds of the Honorio-Mendez fight it did seem as though the top rope was riding up Mendez's back when he was pushed back on the ropes.

As for the ref not knowing what rules they're fighting under? I'm still flabberghasted. And for those having a go at Cintron for not getting up when he hadn't been examined for injuries falling onto a monitor....seriously, if there's a doctor standing next to you insisting you need to get any injury checked out, you listen.

Pffft... why would you trust a doctor when there's legions of keyboard boxing medics who could tell you off a quick glance and a replay on a fuzzy internet stream that you were fine. Get a grip Rhun. Leave it to the pros - the patrons of various boxing sites.

The last refuge for idiots and other categories of the cognitively challenged, when the outcome of an event is not what they anticipated, is to say it was arranged. The reaction of these John Steinbeck's "Lennies" to the outcome of the Mayweather/Mosely fight was predictable. Lumped with under developed and electrically dormant synapses, they "duh duh" through a metamorphosis from Floyd ducking Mosely to Mosely throwing the fight.
