Because it would lock him into some weak deal. However, If Haye beats Wlad, and there is no "fight my brother clause," Haye will have enormous bargaining power, and will be able to negotiate a much better deal for himself in the subsequent Vitali fight.

Remeber when Holyfield gave up a substantial amount of money for the first Tyson fight, in order to avoid a rematch clause.

Then after he beat Tyson, Don King had to negotiate with Holyfield for a rematch, and holyfield had the much better bargaining posistion.

...... and then Holyfield blew all that money, too!

    Meanwhile

After Albert Sonsowski KOs Vitali, I think he should look for a 60/40 split with Wlad. He'll have much better bargaining power. How much do you think he is getting paid for this fight first?

Haye may just have a slightly better chance of beating Wlad than Sonsowski beating Vitali. Mostly because we have seen Wlad get KOed on three occasions by bums. We are lucky these fights aren't swapped. Otherwise, I'd give Haye zero chance until Vitali gets around 42yrs! And Sonsowski is truly almost a bum, and completely qualifies as the next in line to knock the dust off of Wlads dome!!
