fantastic performance from the legend killer. Shutting Paulie down in his backyard. I would say this spells the end of HBO's Paulie crush but I know it won't.

Fuck off, Malignaggi could have seen that out.

good stoppage the corner should have pulled him out.

I feel sad for "Pauly"... TALKING is all that is mighty that's left of him, and even that, Amir had taken it away from him. KTFIR, the pipsqueak!

Although I had Malignaggi ahead on the card, I had a fiver on Khan to win in 11th so am pleased with the nights work
Let's see him in with Katsidis
Don't bully fat kids - they've got enough on their plate

Surely taking the piss here
My thoughts are simple: Khan dominated. We all knew Paulie wouldn't be able to hurt Khan, and that his best chance was keeping him off with a jab. Not only did Khan out-jab Paulie, he practically beat him up to the point where Paulie was scared to throw it any longer. I expected Khan to be a little more aggressive, but reading between the lines (comments in the post-fight interview) it sounds like Roach pretty much told him to hold back for most of the fight..
I think if it was Maidana, Khan would of won in even more impressive fashion. Paulie is a more technical fighter and has a better defense than Maidana so.. if Khan can technically dominate Paulie, and take very little punches, what does this do to Maidana's chances?

On reflection Malignaggi is probably done at the top. He can't beat the top fighters without anything to keep them honest. I don't think Khan is anywhere near the level of a Hatton nor a Cotto, but he got the job done so fair play on that. I still can't stand him though and think there has been nothing but cheating and careful matchmaking that has kept him safe.
If they put him in with the best in the division, he falls short because they will rock him and regularly. Paulie was able to touch him when he wanted and Khan does leak a lot of punches. Paulie landed on no defence Hatton far less than on Khan. Others will have no problem cutting Khan off and punching between or under his high guard. Aside from good handspeed, Khan has no power. He won't be able to keep a good stalker at bay for long. The Hatton that fought Paulie flattens Amir Khan horribly.

It's the truth, dammit. Khan used his reach and utilized the jab and put on a decent, but workmanlike showing. It wasn't that impressive, I thought Hatton did it far more convincingly. Khan offered nothing to suggest to me that he would ever be a serious threat to Bradley in this division. Heck, even Ortiz would probably get through and stop him. Khan is all management and manipulation and you can label it hate (and I don't hide my dislike of him), but you all know it's true. I'm just less willing to give him a chance.

Just got back in from being the driver all day so I missed the fight.
I'll have to watch the replay. I want to see what Maggi had to say post fight. From what I'm reading it appears Khan had to do some chasing and fell behind. It doesn't sit too well for Roach as a Trainer if his fighter was behind against an outside boxer. What does it say about a Pac/Mayweather meeting?
No, Khan was never behind at any point. It was a brilliant performance, he gave Paulie a beating and a lesson.

God I love using this!
BTW, does anyone else think that Kellerman and Farhood have identical voices? IMHO the similarities end there, but they sound almost exactly the same!
I had Paulie Malignaggi winning 2 rounds, with one even round which he possibly could of won, he did good at the start. Amir Khan looked tense in the first 5 rounds, but as soon as Amir Khan settled down and relaxed and started using his jab. He dominated the fight like i expected him too.
