I must admit my one appearance in a battle was a bit embarrasing. It was the Battle of 5 Armies, and I spent the whole time invisible, but then I am less than 3 ft tall and I knew my survival was crucial to Peter Jackson's blockbuster movie's being made.

I decided my survival was for the benefit of all so I sacrificed personal glory for the good of the realm.

My nephew Frodo did rather well in battle though

Only thing wrong with this forum is that there's too many people here who think that Toney is/could be a dominant heavyweight.

Dunkirk was when we sucsefully legged it back over the channel... are you not thinking of D day where the Gerrys thought we would land some where else because we built giant cardboard tanks* but then we didn't?

Well that is what I am pointing out, when Dunkirk happened with hindsight, the Germans could of slaughtered us, but they were thankfully concerned with the Eastern line.

You see that is why we never win the World Cup post 66 (despite being some of the best teams). We have our luck when it really counts... Weather it is the 100 year war, or the Falkland Islands

Talking about Dunkirk and all that. Did you know that Adolf Hitlers Grandfather was Irish by the name of Spud Murthy. Thats why when he got to the top Adolf changed his name to Dick Tater. cant beat the old ones..

I am not trying to make this a War thread but the Germans would have beaten all of us if the fight was 1 on 1, us (Americans), the British, and the USSR would have gotten our butt's whooped if we did not have each other.

I think that the USSR would have won the war on their own, and that the only reason the US joined the European theatre was to ensure that the whole of continental Europe did not end up Soviet !!

The landmark battles of Kursk and Stalingrad had already effectivet broken the back of the Wermacht and the Germans had already lost the war (ony nobody realised it) The USSR was throwing 20:1 ratios of men and material onto the eastern Front and they would have bled Germany dry.

Imagine a giant Orc-like army, comprised of millions of Valuevs, lumbering through Europe and bashing up another army of homosexual looking Jurgen Klinsmanns and you may picture what i mean.

Why has nobody tried attacking Russia in the summer, youd think somebody would have sussed that by now. I think the Germans were fighting on to many fronts
