weren't some of his losses at heavyweight earlier on in his career? Boxrec isn't working for me.

Very low confidence when he first started out he always used to say he never had the belief that Naz and Ryan Rhodes had but then he turned himself around and Brendan Ingle has said many times that he is his biggest sucess story.

think at the 20 fight stage he`d lost more fights than he`d actually won
Amazing when you think about how succesful he eventually went on to be. Another clear indication for the likes of kevin mitchell that its all a learning curve at this stage in your career
He has been in a few stinkers.
Remember he wanted to fight Tyson when he was here. Nelson would have stunk the place out running.

well here is him when he is supporting cancer research in a charity exhibition, not really a serious fight but you can get a hint of his personality in some of these clips. Real hard not to like the guy.
