    Its over for hatton now

I am so glad this fight won't be made because i would fear an easy win for Khan with Ricky looking very old and the corner pulling him out around the 8th.

And Khan gloating how he has taken Hatton's scalp.

    The thought of it........

I'm surprised Paulie has said that the Khan that beat him is better than Hatton - I thought it was even more of a shut out when Hatton beat him. Even though Khan won all but the 2nd round look how beat up Khan's face was post fight..... Paulie landed plenty this weekend but fuck all against Hatton.

To answer your question - yes Khan would beat a 2010 version of Hatton. Too much damage done now.

I totally agree with this post 100%. Hatton did an even better job on Paulie than Khan and you could argue that the beating Hatton gave him may have made him less of a threat to Khan. Fighters can't take that kind of a beating without it taking something out of them.

Also Hatton has taken too much damage but I think it's more self inflicted with the beer and take aways than anything that has happened in the ring. Yes he took a sustained beating against Floyd and that would have taken quite a lot from him but nothing like what he has done to himself with the poor diet and lack of training.

Khan would for me KO Hatton in the mid rounds now but if he had to fight the Hatton that fought Tszyu, Hatton WOULD have KO'd Khan early.

Put it this way. I was shocked when they threw in the towel against Hatton. Against Khan, i was waiting for it.

Hatton beat a one handed Paulie who was trained by Buddy McGirt. Khan beat a confident two handed Paulie who'd just come off the best win of his career.

Khan would beat Hatton convincingly imo. Hatton doesn't know how to respond to someone who puts punches together. And he doesn't respond well to speed.

Hatton beat up a Malignaggi that was on the slide, paired with a trainer who really wasnt working for him and coming off from a TERRIBLE performance in Manchester. He was one handed, threw barely any shots and his defense was sucky.

Khan beat up a rejuvenated Malignaggi who was with a new trainer and was coming off the back of a VERY good performance against Diaz. He was using both hands again (not much mind you) his defence was improved, and overall he was a better Malignaggi than what Hatton faced.

To answer the question: I think the Khan of today would beat up the Hatton of today as well as the Hatton of when he fought Paulie..

I agree with what most people are saying here and I do believe that Khan would be too much for Hatton. Is Khans chin still a problem though? This is something I am still not sold on and until he fights a guy with power I am still curious if he can take a big punch at 140.

I want to see Khan against either; Bradley, Maidana, Alexander, Katsidis , Hatton or maybe even Urango to answer this question. I do believe Khans defence has improved a lot since hes been with Roach. But theres always that what if surrounding weather he can take a dig on it and im sure these fighters would be able to answer that question for us.

Paulie never used his right hand much against Khan after the 4th round he barley throw it.

I think he would. Khan has some snap on his punches and a good stiff jab. Hatton would have ring rust for days and Probably wouldn't have been able to beaten Khan a year ago. From what I hear he's blown up quite a bit and from what's been said in the media about "the fire being gone" would he be willing to lay it all on the line?...

Khan by mid rounds KO... Somewhere around 5/6.

Look what speed did to Hatton in his last fight. Add on the shattering sparking he was on the end of, being hit flush like that when you're all tensed up to throw a shot is ruining, and then add on two years of boozing and bad living on top of that. He'd look like a shambling wreck against Khan now, it'd be horrible to watch.

Ricky would be eating leather untill he gets badly stopped at this juncture of his career, the Hatton that was around a few years ago would just rip Khon to bits inside five rounds and thats a fact LOL

I really hope this fight never happens. Khan doesn't deserve Hatton on his record. Today, Khan stops hatton atleast three rounds inside the distance.
