Yeah, Donny took a few solid right hands but was unphased. Good beard, Donny's got. Kept stuffing the jab and got some decent body work in. Good deal!

Yes he seems to have been well schooled in the John Duddy art of defence. Will boost his box office appeal though

    Good stuff Donny.

You looked a little nervous, which is understandable, and can hopefully work on your defense.

You got some good body work in there, but try not to leave the jab out there. That's when you got countered with right hands, and when throwing to the body, use some more head feints and angles.

But you must of been nervous as hell, so well done on the win. Your body punching was impressive, and you seem to have good workrate and a solid chin. Because those were some tasty looking right hands you took, so well done Alan.

Alright guys- thanks for the support, advice and constructive criticism.

Was happy with the result. I was not impressed with my performance.
For whatever reason I decided to go out and prove I could fight rathere than box

1st round was rough, I was rigid and got clipped for it.
2nd was a marvellous rd for me, got combs together and boxed well
3rd and 4th were rough, few borderline tactics employed.
Great edxperience and serious motivation for the gym.

Congrats on the win and for making your pro debut Alan.

Is there any footage of the whole fight? I'd be interested in seeing it.

That's a much better attitude to have than to have been nervous and too timid because of the occasion mate.

Plus as I said above, the Irish love their fighters to take two to give one back. It's the kind of style that could make you a lot of money if you keep winning!
