So you've never fought before and want to go pro? No offense but you got it backwards, friend.

I'd set my sights on getting in shape to begin with, bro.

As far as equipment... look into titleboxing.com. They have a good mix of companies to choose from.

Search gyms in the area and start slow. You need to learn fundamentals that sometimes take years to learn. I started boxing at 8.5 years of age.

When you're able to step in and spar they'll get a good gauge of your talents/weaknesses.

This is not a fast process. Like with anything, practice makes perfect(or better, in this case )

as far as workouts and styles, these are things you adapt over time under tutelage... No one here would have any idea how to guage what class you would be fighting in and what workouts to do without you even starting working out... 137 is your walking around weight? There is no "best style"... It depends on what fits your physical and mental atributes.
