I think Khan would put up a decent fight for the first half of the fight, he's certainly faster than the last few guys Mayweather has fought, and we know Mayweather doesn't cope well with speed, so I think Amir would suprise a few people. But then I think Floyd would begin to pick him apart and maybe even force a late TKO.

But who knows.. presumably this fight will be a good 1-2 years down the road, by that time Khan may have unified the 140 division and be a far better fighter. Or he may be sparked out again in 1 round and will fade away.

Everyone would know it was a massive mismatch. If Mayweather didn't stop him within 3 rounds it would be a huge disappointment.

Could be quite interesting for 3/4 rounds, but even though Khan was quite impressive against Paulie I think he was a little one dimensional I suppose you could argue he was having so much success with how the plan was going that was fair enough, but after 4 rounds Floyd works him out and puts a beat down on him and takes a wide ud or stops him late.

I also watched the Khan/Paulie fight again this week and I thought Khan was to cautious in reality and if he pressed it more he could of stopped Paulie earlier and more emphatically, but overall it was a good performance.

Now I have also read that Khan and his team have offered Katsidis the fight and are waiting for there decision.

Is every fighter that wins a fight reguardless of weight or credability automatically in the running to be the guy who will beat him finally ??!!! Hell mid-as-well let prescott fight floyd too i guess. If there's a division filled with guys he can fight and probably not beat it's the one he's in. I doubt he'd beat bradley, i'd give him even less of a chance against alexander, and if maidana catches him ( which i will give khan credit cause i'm not so sure he would) who knows, that's really what all boxing fans are waiting to see about the guy right now.......... how well he can take a punch. I said that I think it would be a hell of a fight because if Floyd knows its a good named fight that he could win he'll take it. Khan has a name which means ppv buys so whether he did it in Vegas or across sea's he makes big money either way. I've never for once said or thought khan would win. Floyds a business man not a fighter so thats what i'm thinking actually. If he fights over sea's everyone will want to see floyd pay for ppv and also with Khans fans you cant say it wont be a big money fight. And thats my point weather its in vegas or UK it has to make money.

And I don't get how they keep pushing for a single elimination semifinals at 140 and their demanding the number 1 and number 2 guy fight each other first. In single elimination you seed the tournament. You can't jump to fight Maidana and then say now Bradley and Alexander have to beat each other up to face me. Maidana may be strong but they know Maidana is the easy one to outbox. Either way, I would credit Khan's heart for even testing his chin against Maidana.

I like Khan's attitude a lot you can tell he would fight anyone, but Roach seems to open his mouth a bit to often, Khan needs to settle down and sort his business out at 140 which I think he may struggle, Mayweather like I said earlier will have a 3/4 rounds of being cautious working Khan out then he would dominate him badly imo.

What does everyone else think about Khan's inside game? I think it needs alot of work, I think if he faced Bradley it could be a long night, in the inside I think Bradley will be to much.

this seems to me to be a ploy. suggesting that khan would be a good fight for mayweather is like offering someone platinum (pac) then giving them copper (khan). clearly its an insult to mayweather.

I don't see PBF Jr. knocking Khan out at all at this point in their careers. Maybe a convincing UD, yeah.

I give Amir more credit than most here, through his due dilligence in prepariing for the big fights. His moves as of late, most especially his going over to train with Freddie, hints at a maturing and emerging dominant star in this sport!

This said match is not going to happen anytime soon anyway, as others have initially pointed out, so... again, it is one of those if scenarios that we love to discuss to death here at Saddo's.

This will be a competitive match 3 years from now, after Khan has proven himself against some other notable boxers and Mayweather is on the decline. Otherwise, it's a mismatch this year and the year after.

Mayweather would stop him within 6. A terrible mismatch, Mayweather actually packs a bit of a punch and with his speed he would land and fairly often. Khan would start quick, but wilt fairly quickly. A silly matchup.
