i agree, i thought Vasquez is a better fighter, but his face is already a mess.. he cant continue with that kind of condition. he better retire.

If I were Marquez I would say,

"I started it; I finished it."

It's hard to argue that point and I would just say it over and over until a 5th unsanctioned fight started.

Am I the only one who enjoyed that? I thought Rafa would have too much, but it's not like they didn't make something of it while it lasted, it's just a shame that scar tissue is in a state that really shouldn't allow Izzy back in a ring.

I think 2-2 is the perfect way to end it. Although I think Rafa is marginally better as I had him winning the 3rd fight, both these guys are great warriors and two of the best of this era. Rafa's legacy prior to this fight gives him a push, but both are legends and I think the series is best finished even.

Nah. Marquez has always been the better fighter. Vazquez was always the stronger fighter. Vazquez strength is what Marquez had to adjust too

I think Marquez is the more skilled, Vasquez is more resilient though... shame his skin isn't.

It's got to be disheartening when your career is based around abuse to your physical 'imperfections'. Surely there is only so much you can take looking in the mirror after that, or maybe i'm just vain .

All in all, I think it was a good fight and an awesome series. I
want both fighters to be successful (or at least paid well) as they wind down their careers and if a fifth fight is by far the biggest payday, I think they deserve it.
