JT makes for interesting discussion, no doubt. You've got a guy who's been in three fights with two of the top fighters in his division, both of whom are far more experienced. I honestly think all three of those fights could be called either way...it's more a matter of taste as to how you decide who won those fights. But the bottom line is that the kid stayed in there with the big dogs, and for that, I give him a lot of credit.
That being said, he's nowhere near a dominant champion. Taylor really needs a clear win against a solid opponent to make a case for his title. Right now, he has the belts, but little of the respect that should go with them...simply because of the closeness of his last three bouts. You gotta beat somebody's ass to get that respect, and while he may have won these fights, he didn't win them convincingly.
