I have never seen them either and don't want to... I havn't gone out of my way to not see it, but thinking about it, these days I would by choice not bother...


I hate that whole Italian Mafia thing where it's just old tossers who are no better than anyone else thinking they are these god like people because a few people respect them.. Even though it's not respect it's fear.... It's just dumb... One on one they'd probably get their ass kicked by 95% of the planet, but with their little club, they act like they are superior beings.. Regular people are supposed to grow out of that type of ego when they being to become adults (20 to 25 years old), and realise that all people are the same... But these mafia people are so absorbed in their little world where they are up the top, and it's just annoying to me personally....
I know it's just a movie, but in actual life i've met to many of these type of people and had encounters with them at different levels, and for people to think they are better than someone else because of a friend they have or shit like that, it's retarted...

Like bikie gangs... Bikie gang guys walk around like school bullies... Of course they are tough, but get over it! Like, a regular adult you can have a joke with them, a bikie would take himself so seriously that he'd beat you half to death just because you tried to joke with him.. Just to protect is "tough man" identity.. his "no one f'cks with me" identity....

Like I watched Gordon Ramsey kitchen nightmares and there was this italian guy who was like that, and Gordon told him basically he was a f'n ass clown, and the guy comes out the front of the store and is like "The guy should be dead for saying something like that to me.. He doesn't know who I am..." etc etc.... Yep, met to many f'n wankers like that who are so f'n obsessed with having this identity and image and perception of being this all power tough man, that they are barely a fucken human anymore than you can relate to...

With respect mate, if you havent seen it you can hardly make a realistic comment on it. Yes, the basics are about the mafia (altho the name isnt mentioned once) and there is a fair bit about respect and shit but not in the way that your thinking (goodfellas and stuff). Its more about the characters and families and shit but most importantly, for me anyway, its the greatest example of storytelling that ive ever seen. Honestly, if you get the time, give it a go and im sure you wont be disappointed
