It makes no sense to stick any of the up and coming lot in with eachother just yet. Let it brew for a year or so. Let them become better fighters and let them develop some sort of following. There's no point having Alexander - Bradley in a half empty arena, when they could wait a year or so and at least have a shot of selling out. Likewise Maidana - Khan or any other similar match-up.

The division is good, but it could be potentially great. Just keep Bradley, Alexander and Khan away from eachother for a while.
I agree with what your saying about building these matches into potential super-fights but we also don't want to miss out on them on account of upsets. There are plenty of fighters around the weight who 4 guys could be match with for another fight or two like Ortiz, Mabuza, Peterson, Casamayor & Guzman. But each one could be potentially dangerous...

Yeah i guess that's the challenge for promoters - finding an opponent who is credible, but poses little risk, just to keep their fighter ticking over til the big fight comes round. Golden Boy managed it with Khan - Malignaggi, and it looks like like Alexander has a similar opponent. Khan, Bradley and Alexander can all get it on in 2011/2012, after they've all had more exposure to the casual fans. That's where the money comes from.
