Good to see the athletes standing up and refusing to be bullied monetarily talking for boggus piece of metal. I wish Sulaiman a heart attack as soon as possible for the good of boxing.

Apparently Miguel Acosta just became the WBA "absolute" lightweight champion.

Are they creating a new hilarious title?

But isn't JMM still a Super-Champ? So maybe "nearly absolute" lightweight champion...

It's ashame too that the IBF, which is the only organization that does not have multiple champions per division, appears to be going broke. I can only assume that they will join their rotten brothers and start awarding interim titles.

true, IBF seems to be most credible right now. WBC used to be the most prestigious but is turning into a joke now.

IBF fucked up in a major way removing Larry Hazard and their female president.

    Mendoza suffers heart attack

    By Gabriel F. Cordero
The WBA Executive Vice President Gilberto Jesus Mendoza Jr. has been hospitalized in Panama after experiencing symptoms of a mild heart attack. “He has a great heart,” said Dr. Temistocles Diaz, who added that Mendoza is stable and on the road to recovery. Sources say Mendoza Jr. will be out of action resting for at least the next 15 days.

No matter how you feel about how a man does his job, that's not what you wish for for someone to die. I mean unless it's like Rush Limbaugh.

Nah it was more irony said via anger, I am a softy for these things somewhere and if Lance would have redirected me to a news where Sulaiman would have really had a heart attack, even knowing it wouldn't be my fault, I would still feel bad a bit about it. If they only lose their job and a speaker with a micro linked to it that would be enough for me. Some peoples in the business like Panama Lewis or Don King have done far worst.
