Only some boxers will do alright though, top heavy ones that are set in their ways and slow on their feet wont ever make it.
Others might get to the top if they work on their legs and adapt a new style of footwork for fast evasion backed by throwing the correct punch or knee at a take down attempt.

Alot of these mma dudes arms are so open as they kick; it would be interesting to see a boxer who got trained by someone smart enough to teach them how to stay in the zone and still evade a leg kick by rolling with it or getting the weight off at the right time etc; so they can still meet the attackers body coming forwards with a blow, instead of the usual interruption, block, move, create space ,then start it all over again routine as we usually get to see.

I think a boxer has a better chance in mma if trained right and not placed in there straight away, than a mma dude changing over to boxing.

Once you can fight with every point of every limb it is really hard to put the damper on yourself when faced with boxing rules, your mind is telling you to do stuff that you know you cant. So there is a natural delay that I dont think you could train out of someone who has only ever fought that way.

Mayorgas a bit top heavy, he will get trounced unless he is already in training getting used to his knees being kicked sideways.
