Default Prizefighter - The Super Bantamweights

Who does everyone have for this?

Ricky Owen is the favourite at 5/2 but I was gonna go with Jamie Arthur at 4/1.

Esham Pickering is way out at 11/2 to win this.

Obviously anything can happen in Prizefighter as we have seen but I got £20 I feel like waging on someone.

I thought it was a fantastic night's entertainment....did you decide to throw that £20 at Willie Casey by any chance? He had just the right game for the tournament, but maybe he had a bit of a lucky break with Owen having to withdraw before the final with that cut.

Although there's been some criticism of the Prizefighter format becoming too frequent, I still think it is a very entertaining format, and also accessible to the casual viewer as well as regular boxing fans.

Esham Pickering looked really jaded in there, not quite as bad as Danny Williams was, but along the same lines. Casey's a hard hitter and works hard, but once he gets into the longer rounds for title fights, those with a decent chin should be able to outbox him, as the novice who replaced Owen in the final did for the first round.

Hope Hearn gives us a few months off now before bringing another tourney through.

I stuck it on Ricky Owen. Thought he was gonna lose that first fight after being dropped but, fair play to him, he kept going.

I still can't believe he had to pull out with that cut to the eye. Didn't look that bad.

That is two Prizefighters running now that I have backed someone and they have had to pull out - Herbie Hide in the Prizefighter and Ricky Owen in this one. Starting to think I am a jinx.

Let us know who you're backing next time...there might be a few bob in the lay bet for that one!

    Best prizefighter so far.

    Great nights viewing.

It gives youg boxers the exposure they would not normaly get and it gives older fighters one last roll of the dice.

Cant wait for the next one.
