On subject its true, when I boxed you can slow your opponent down by throwing some good hard shots and it allows you more time to think while they are hesitating.
Yeah if you interrupt their movement they think,if they think they slow up.
I suppose technically speaking, a straight thrown over the outside of an in coming jab,deflecting it and landing is probably the fastest offence as defense.
