    Sergio Martinez

The Argentine slickster finally made it to the big time when scoring a shock victory over Kelly Pavlik to become the undisputed Middleweight Champion of the World. Having been on the wrong end of disputable scorecards in recent times, it must have been a relief to El Maravilla to finally get what he's earnt. The decision now ahead of him is where to go next. There are rumours of a possible fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr, but more likely he will have to decide whether to fight at 154 or 160. The most obvious opponent is Paul Williams who won a disputed majority decision over him in December, however, now Martinez is calling the shots.

Bad Chad jumps up the rankings despite not having had a fight, but the unbeaten Light-Heavyweight king is set to face Jean Pascal in August to win the Lineal Crown at 175. Although he may have to wait for the winner of the Super-Six to become available to become a 'star', he is winning over boxing fans and looks like he just needs that one opportunity to become a big name. A comebacking Joe Calzaghe or Bernard Hopkins would give him that, but at present it looks like neither of those guys will fight him.

The Punisher is coming off an unsatisfying win over Kermit Cintron, following on from a debatable decision over Sergio Martinez, however neither of those have dampened fight fans excitement for him. He and his team have talked about trying to get back down the Welterweight for a fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr or Manny Pacquiao, however it is unclear whether he yet offers the financial incentive to those fighters. A more likely option is that he faces Sergio Martinez for the Lineal Middleweight belt in a rematch or possibly faces the Foreman/Cotto winner.

    Juan Manuel Marquez

The Mexican warrior rises again in the rankings despite having not fought since his UD defeat to Floyd Mayweather Jr. Up next he faces Juan Diaz in a rematch of their 2009 Fight of the Year. A win there opens up more possibilities for him. He would have an option of fighting Michael Katsidis, however, more likely he may move up to 140 to add to the exciting weightclass already there. A fight with Amir Khan was mooted sometime ago before his trainer, Nacho Beristain, grew unhappy with terms, however he may still fight one of Khan, Tim Bradley or Devon Alexander.

    Manny Pacquiao

The Filipino Champion finally drops off the top spot, but not without a fight as the voting was fairly close. Since the last vote following his destruction of Miguel Cotto, Pacquaio has taken on Joshua Clottey on route to a one-sided decision in the Cowboys Stadium. Where he goes next is of course just about the most discussed topic in boxing. Granted he could face disgraced Mexican, Antonio Margarito, or even a rematch with Cotto should he beat Yuri Foreman, however the fight that the world wants to see is the thrilling Pacquiao in with the man who is currently #1 on our list...

    Saddo's Pound For Pound #1

    Floyd Mayweather Jr

Mayweather takes back the top spot he gave up on retirement following his win over previous #3, Shane Mosley. Despite getting stunned in the 2nd round, the Pretty Boy came back to beat Mosley up on route to a wide decision victory. His next move, as mentioned before, is hopefully a fight with Manny Pacquiao to decide who is the greatest fighter of this era, and possibly push their name into the rarefied atmosphere of the very best of all time. There are other options, such as Martinez or Williams, but what boxing fans really want to see is the current #1 & #2 squaring off. Let's hope that by the next time this vote comes around, they have either fought or getting ready to.
