SWP did what he was told, Walsott kept coming inside. Thats why SWP got the nod.

Can't help feeling the Capello has missed a trick with Johnson though. I'd have taken him and left Upson at home.
Deffo mate - They is always a surprise success in the world cup and Johnson could've been ours. Upson is muck! Happy that Joe Cole is going though. Just hope we don't play a flat 4-4-2 with Lampard and Gerard in the middle without a holding DMC

Hopefully capellos seen the 2 not working in the middle enough to suggest stevie g should start exclusively on the right side with barry or carrick playing the holding role allowing fatty lampard to make forward moves.

Just hope fatboy doesnt take this as an opportunity to waste every attacking move with shots from 40yards the overfed judas c*nt
Thats exacly what lamps did in 2006 with those feeble shots that barely came to the keeper. He needs to be on top of his game as do the rest.

I would probably disagree with a few of your picks Big H in regards to 1990 vs 2010 but in particular Pearce ahead of Cole is a pretty bad one. Sure Pearce had the right spirit and was a decent left-back - but he was never world class. Pearce has a slight edge defensively (although Cole is pretty good in the last few years) but Cole murders him as an attacking option. Overall A.Cole is a far more complete full-back.

Ps, as a Wednesdayite I applaud your pick of Walker over Rio.

Pearce could attack in his prime and also had a wicked free kick.

    You never beat Des Walker!!!

cashley has the natural attributes. But pearce could actually get those around him to play well and gave that psychotic full back looking for the nearest 2 footed challenge to put in.

Id say psycho over ashley, and yes i also 100% agree that you`ll never beat des walker
    one dangerous horrible bloke
