The #1 thing I want to know is why (if such a sweetheart deal has been offered) is the WBA title holder considering the following fights: Audley Harrison, James Toney, Hasim Rahman, and Shannon Briggs I really doubt that the fight will happen now

Vitali's record since 2002 has some respectible names on it before that time it was kind of hard for him to get a fight vs a top teir heavyweight what with him being 6'8 and having all but 1 of his wins coming by KO at that point. To be honest Vitali never would have had the chance to fight Lennox Lewis without the injury to Kirk Johnson and pressure from fans and media.

and his only two losses are against Byrd and Lewis, most people had him ahead in both and he only lost due to injury (Byrd was his shoulder, although i thought he could have just gutted it out, and Lewis was the nasty gash)
so don't see how his record is all that padded

he's done a hell of a lot better than Haye has in his entire career, sorry but wins over an old faded Mormeck (especially after being dropped) and a win against the average Enzo are his biggest moments at Cruiserweight, Adamek's close win against Cunningham was already better than that
