eah its a lot worse than super middle and cruiserweight. not to mention a lot of other divisions. try not to be so biased.
    Biased?? I'm stating the Truth.
hey.. I will be the first to tell you out of the 21 attempted defenses Hopkins hasnt had but 6 or 7 real challengers.
6 ot 7 real challengers?? Where did you get that from? The guy has had NO real challengers.

Manny Steward quote: "The last world-class, natural Middleweight that Hopkins fought was Roy Jones, and he lost every round."
who was the best fighter benn, eubank and collins ever faced besides if they fought themselves?
Gerald McClellan, who was waaaaaaay better than Hopkins.
dont avoid the question. that all of thim faced.

mcclellan was very good and I really like the guy. But he lost to Benn for a reason. He loaded up on everything and couldnt pace himself. He would have had trouble hitting Hopkins. he never did reach his prime and he would have been great, but the version that benn beat wasnt great. not to mention the controversy in that fight.

And why are you bringing this up? We're talking about HOPKINS you dumb ass.
dont resort to name calling because you arguement sucks.

i am bringing this up because all of this is just a way to bash him for not fighting the guys. also you believe that they would have beat them and they dont get anywhere near the credit he does. THAT IS WHY I AM BRINGING THIS UP.

I think you are out of your mind. Hopkins is a great Middleweight. No one has ever said he was better than SRR or Hagler so chill out!

I know Nigel. Â Jus dun double standard a lil.

In your opinion, do you think you, in your "Dark Destroyer" Days, before you fought McClennan, do you think you'dve beat Hopkins?

Sure he is... : In PMs he has claimed to have done well against Howard Eastman in a sparring session. That was his big achievement his claim to fame. And IF it is true I applaud him for that. He also told me he was expected to do well in the pro ranks but was sent to prison instead. He never said any thing about being World Champ Nigel Benn. So I highly doubt he is. Not to mention if he was, wouldn't he be praising Benn more and NOT EUBANK?!

Hopkins at number 10! Hahaha, never thought I'd live to see the day! And Mayweather finally at number 1!!! Boxing just keeps getting more surprising. I don't think Mayweather, a fighter who hasn't fought a super-fight, oustide of Arturo Gatti, deserves such a crown.

As for Hopkins at number 10...Â
When you fall, you fall hard! I didn't think Hopkins' would be disrespected that easily after a loss. ...But you know what? Keep disrespecting and you'll get Disrespected Back!

With all due respect to the "champion," Hopkins, he did beat the hell outta Jermain, physically and most of all... mentally. Jermain isn't the man to dethrone Hopkins, it's a man with talent who is willing to maul Hopkins and willing to take punishment to do it.  Either that or a super fast boxer-counterpuncher. Basically a Mexican or a Mayweather, both would have to be bigger of course.

After the Jermain fight, I thought Sugar Ray Leonard has a chance against Hopkins, but Hagler has a better chance at Hopkins. Hypothetically speaking, of course.

Put in your two cents on the NEW Ring's ratings.
Floyd is probably the best P4P. Hopkins should not be so low though, especially with one debateable "split decision" loss. Diego should maybe be a little higher around the fifth spot and why didn't they just put Taylor as #1 or #2 now because they are always screwing the P4P list up!! Everytime a fighter wins even just one big fight, they want to put him up there overnight. How is Barerra still so high?

its the old problem - Taylor beat Hopkins and so has to be ranked above him but he can't be ranked too highly just yet

So if you put him in at 9 you have to put Hopkins 10th - is a bit of a drastic drop isn't it for a guy who lost a razor thin decision. But what do you do - put Taylor at 3 and make Hopkins 4 ? No

And if they left Hopkins still above taylor then that would just take the piss.

Where did you see that list anyway ? I don't expect to read about Hopkins v Taylor or see a p4p list, based on its outcome, in The Ring for another couple of months ?

    have they got a a website ?
Don't bully fat kids - they've got enough on their plate

Yeah, Hatton should never be under Juan Manuel Marquez.
At least marquez has earned his way into the top 10, hatton beat kostya tszyu (to me it looked like an off night) and now hes number 7. Jesus christ, these ratings are screwed up.
Marquez earned it by one fight too. Except Hatton's undefeated and Marquez isn't. Not only that, I aslo think Pacquiao beat Marquez on points.

Hatton beat a great fighter, Kostya Tszyu, and fought every second in every round. He wasn't afraid of the incoming onslaught from the p4p power puncher. With that showing, Hatton came closer to greatness than Jermain ever was.

    Agree
I think these ratings are'nt so much based on "Stats" but on entertainment value..
Bums on seats so to speak
