Um well Wright has faced speed in Mosley and Power in Taylor. Calzaghe has faced power but not speed. I don't think that Calzaghe has fought someone who was faster then he was. But he's fought counter punchers, and those were the guys that dropped him... pick em fight, but I'm not sure Calzaghe wouldn't be caught in between those flurries he throws
I think Joe C is just too big....a fly can piss off an elephant for awhile ....but the elephant eventually swats that pesky fly.....
Joe C imo isn't too big... he isn't as strong or fast as Taylor though he throws combinations quicker and from way more angles. However I give Winky the speed advantage(maybe not in combinations but his jab would beat Calzaghe to the punch) and I think Calzaghe could have a harder time with him than the more athletic Taylor, but we'll see.
Just a quick question....

Did you actually watch the JC/Lacy Fight

I'll tell you what, JC was fast enough to not allow for Lacy to barely get off any shots....

I dont feel Winky has the speed to stay in it with someone like JC, So Winky will go back to his tap and run game....If he does this with JC, get ready for a very boring and disappointing fight...

Then it is also going to depend on the ring size, They like using those small rings over there in Europe, so that could hurt Winky if its a smaller ring....

I'll say this, If Winky tries to stand and fight, its going to be one hell of an ass woopin for Winky....

Boxingcoach eh?

Are you comparing Winky to Lacy? Have you disregarded the fact that they are both southpaws?

And all this too big too strong Winky will get KO'd talk is all pople said before the Trinidad fight and before the Taylor fight. It didn't happen.

Can you name me a southpaw that Joe has faced that had a quicker jab? Did you disregard the fact that whenever Joe throws he brings his hands back down which leaves him open for a counter shot, WHICH is what he gets caught by anyway? That in essense means that whenever Joe throws a shot Winky is going to make him pay for those low hands. Joe is open for straight shots, and I doubt that Winky like Lacy will stand there and take combinations and then expect to stop Joe Calzaghe with a one shot followup hook, Winky responds with straights or he will shoot a straight in between his shots, Calzaghe may be fast but anyone can be fast when someone decides to look for one shot instead of timing them before the attack comes. Winky would do this to Joe Calzaghe and how is Joe going to deal with that?
